Whole place had a horrible stale smoke smell .... not very clean at all but location was goid.

Upon arrival there wasn’t anybody there to greet us, then someone appeared from the back out of nowhere and told us to ring the number to check in, which we did, and they disappeared again. Out the front of the property there was an empty vodka bottle and trash all over the floor by the entrance. The property itself was dated and gave creepy horror movie vibes. The doors creaked, the stairs creaked, the mirror on the stairs was cracked and there was a thick layer of dust on pictures and ornaments. The room was filthy from top to bottom. I found food on the floor, there was dirt and grime on the carpets, the bathroom was covered in mould and the plugs were dirty. The place looked like it had never been cleaned. I didn’t want to get in the bed so I slept on top with the blanket as I’d left it too late to book anywhere else. I was surprised that the towels had been washed, but they had. We were intermittently awoken by the sound of doors slamming throughout the night and the fire alarm went off really early the following the morning as someone had burnt something in the kitchen which startled us. I wouldn’t have a dog stay at the hotel and I certainly would never be back.

Arrived to be told over phone that our room was unlocked and the key was on the bed. People trying doors through night and not clean at all. No staff on premises either.

The location is perfect with shops, busses and train station close by. Check in was super fast. I arrived very late but there was a number on the door which I called and he gave me access code after confirming my details. It was cheap for the location and best value for money.

The room is very small though it equals the value for money i paid. There was no light in the toilet. The carpet seem old.

It was really cheap and in the centre.

The shower didn’t work very well. The bed was quite small. The towels had stains on them. The wifi didn’t work.

The room next to us had his TV on all night and I mean all through the night!! It was very awkward as we didn't know who was staying in the room and do not like confrontation we felt it was far to late to ring the out of hours number so as it was for only one night and we really didn't pay much we accepted you get what you pay for. Also No Parking facilities.

Lack of kitchen services

Travelled up from Newport to watch Hartlepool play. Was about a 10 min walk to the ground with a few pubs on route. A last minute winner has made my stay in Hartlepool even better, would stay here again.

We parked in a car park across the street, not ideal but not the end of the world.

Nice room, good staff and close to the town centre and got upgraded from a single to a double so can’t complain.

The bed was incredibly comfy and the room was generally clean

Overall, for a night out or so this is ideal. If I was staying here for work or something, I'd be gutted. The place could look 10x better with just a deep clean and a repaint. Little things that add up give a bad impression , Light shades all broken, some kind of splatter marks on the wardrobe, cracked outlet covers etc ,It's nothing new if you look through the existing reviews

Bathroom door handle stiff got stuck inside bathroom struggled open door. Tatty room no bed side table/lamp. Socket next to bed unplugged not working. No remote for TV. Booked in for 2 nights left after 1 booked someplace else
