When spending time away from home, it is really important for me to stay somewhere lovely who have kind caring staff. This is certainly what I experienced staying at the Eccleston Hotel. In particular I would like to acknowledge Sue who was very kind, attentive and did everything she could to meet my crazy food allergy needs. I am so grateful.
Re my room, it was nice. It had a large bed, good wifi, hot shower. It met my basic needs.
I was surprised at how infrequently the bedroom was cleaned / maintained, and when it was it was to a poor standard. Just the basics were missed, like cleaning / replacing the glasses in my room, vacuuming the floor which was full of dust and long hairs.
Also, there were no sockets next to the bed which made it difficult to charge devices.
Also, although the bed looked like a large double, it was actually two singles pushed together which made sleeping uncomfortable and disturbing.

Like the way the staff were very helpful as it was our first stay in St Helens and they gave us some good advice on public transport. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming and the food was excellent, we will definitely go back there.

Breakfast and dinner were really tasty and definitely worth the price. Hotel room was nice and clean, bed was comfortable and wifi was fast.
They had only english electric socket and no european adapter in house.

I can't recommend this establishment enough it felt like home from home. The staff were extremely helpful and polite, and the bedroom was spotlessly clean. We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious.

Always stay here. It has a warm and friendly atmosphere and the staff always go above and beyond for you. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable and the food is always very good and the price is very reasonable too. We always have a lovely stay.

Room was incredible and staff were amazing and helpful, booked the bottomless brunch with very short notice and the staff were very tentative to the mine and my guests needs.

Brilliant staff, especially Anne and Kate who fronted the visitor reception and bar restaurant service right across the board. Very clean rooms and public areas. Good food reasonably priced.
A well oiled team who were happy and accommodating.
Bedroom poorly laid out with disconnected facilities e.g mirror with no electric sockets useable. Same with iron and ironing board. It needs to be said that our room was not typical of other rooms in the hotel. Friends staying on the same night had good sized and better laid out rooms.
