I’ve stayed there many times over the last 25 years, so it’s familiar to me. I travel to Durham to visit family, only stay for a couple of days, so it’s perfect for me.

Depending on what room you’re in, it can be a bit difficult to find your way around!!

The location was excellent. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Our room was lovely and the breakfast was fabulous. The breakfast staff were fabulous too.

Location for the open day at Durham uni is very good.

The bedding stank - as if the sheets and pillow cases had been washed in dirty water or left in the machine after washing - I had to spray my perfume on the bed without that we could sleep the sheets were making up sick.

Room was great

Reception staff apart from blond lady were dreadfull very poor at communicating,dismissive and unfriendly One lady with glasses very rude and unhelpful

The staff member on check in was very helpful and friendly (all the staff were friendly). The room was a very nice size and the sofa bed was all made up for us. This was a nice surprise after a very long graduation day. The main bedrooms were nice and clean with a Nesspresso coffee machine, that is always a plus for me. We will definitely stay again.

The bathroom was a little dusty, with a few cobwebs and a dusty mirror. The bathroom in general could do with an update. The coffee from the machine in the breakfast room wasn’t very nice, the fried eggs were greasy and hard and they were a little slow at refilling the food.

Room was spacious and quiet with good aircon. Breakfast was good and staff were very friendly and helpful.
