Amazing, unique experience, beautiful furnishings, amazing staff. Very helpful with figuring out how to open the accommodation, in English too. Great location, very close to a parking garage, and close to the centre or areas to eat and drink.

Nothing wrong with the property, but just be conscious of the weather, as it is a bit wet in the caves, as in if the ac is on it’s very cold and if it’s off it’s very hot.

Great location--in Sassi, but not far from modern town. Fantastic, helpful host...met us to let us in because my technology (WhatsApp) is non-existent. Great restaurants nearby.

Parking is very close, just few minute walking. The room is part of “Sassi di Matera’, so it’s beautiful to stay in the historical area, without traffic, walking troughs the ‘Sassi’ and to be surprise from the Matera’s location.

Neighbours were having a party or screaming midst of the night which woke us up. The street noise would come in too

The location is good. There were a lot of snacks in the room.

They offer to book tours for you, but they have no idea about them. I asked them for a tour under specific conditions, the option I chose from the ones they gave me DID NOT fulfill these conditions. They made it seem like it was MY fault for not asking the agency myself. Unbelievable! I ended up having to get a refund from the travel agency completely ruining my last evening. They should NOT offer this booking service if they're not familiar with the service. They have a policy of only cleaning the rooms once every two days. A policy that isn't standard in Italy and that they don't mention on this site. They do it if you request it, for a fee... The room i was given was small and had a window with no curtain, so the light from the lobby would disturb my sleep. I asked them to cover it and they said that they wouldn't be able to install a curtain at the moment. They couldn't think of another way to cover it? Ridiculous. I just used a towel to cover it to reduce the amount of light filtered into the room. The bed wasn't very comfortable either. Another problem I had with my room was the shower. The tiles were coming off the wall! The stay was completely overpriced and I was never offered any kind of compensation for any inconvenience. Another minor complaint: I communicated mostly by WhatsApp in Italian with them and they would use formal, respectful language in one sentence (dare del Lei), and informal in the next (dare del tu). Make up your mind, or rather, use Lei with guests ALWAYS...
