The onsen in the establishment was big and lovely with the outdoor onsen right next to the indoor one , which made it easy for us to use the outdoor one despite it being winter. There was a complimentary star gazing trip out at 8.30pm and they supplied a telescope. That was a wonderful experience but bring very warm clothes, especially in winter.

They offered a free star gazing experience at the top of the mountain with high powered binoculars. The breakfast was very good and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

well it’s not as bad as I reviewed. but I think we got the cheaper room. from booking, this rectangle light type is the old building and cheap than the new building which is what I booked.

Kaiseki dinner and breakfast were delicious and seasonal. The staff was friendly and attentive. We loved exploring the Kiso River valley: full of hiking, Post Towns, and gorgeous Japanese countryside.

I was picked up and dropped off at tourist office opposite the train station. Lovely staff. Stayed in the old building, Japanese traditional room, shared toilet (super clean), onsen bath (traditional). Amazing Japanese dinner and breakfast (not 'continental') in main diner.
