Fantastic cabanas with beautiful view!

The view of the lake and volcano is magnificent. The owner speaks fluent English and was very helpful when we tried to purchase a boat ticket for the Carrera Austral online (our credit card failed to work).

The property was hard to find and would benefit from a large sign on the road.

Amukan Lodge was much more than we expected. We booked a week at Amukan primarily for two reasons. 1. It looked like a place that was close enough to the lake access that if we were stuck in lockdown, we could still jump in the lake. 2. It had WiFi so we could work if needed. The WiFi was more reliable than we have at home. The location was better than we imagined. It is on the edge of Panguipulli close to the quiet lake access but within a lovely walk on a quiet dirt road to the main beach and the busy part of town. The cabana itself was perfect for us, a family of four, and had a stunning view over Lago Panguipulli towards Volcan Villarica. There are only 4 cabanas and all are situated on the property to give as much privacy as you want. The beds are extremely comfortable and we had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom. Just that alone made it one of the best places we have stayed in Chile. Our gracious hosts, Catalina and Matias, have worked in luxury hospitality for many years and know the little extras that make a holiday a little more special. I couldn't recommend them more. We will go back!

We enjoyed our stay so much it is hard to find something that would make it better. The only things we could thing of are: 1. The kitchen knives need a sharpening. It wasn't a problem for us because we travel with our own. 2. It would have been nice to have a tina de madera on the cooler evenings.

Great lodge with a beautiful view over the lake & volcano with very modern design, a modernly equipped kitchen. Communication with owners was via Whatsapp but they were really responsive and provided tipps what to do around the area.
