The location was excellent, a minute away from the lake. The room was very clean and staff incredibly friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was extensive but the hot items, such as eggs, sausages, beans etc. were left out in open dishes so everything was cold. At the time of staying the pool was also closed which I was not aware of beforehand.

Location is great and convenient to visit the West Lake. Staff at the reception is friendly and helpful.

Trafic is a little bit crazy for the weekends. But it does not hurt for people who like going around just by foot.

Room carpets were smelling. I had to spend most of my time outside my room.

The hotel is very dated and it appears that the rooms haven’t been touched since the 1980’s.Even though there impressive pictures of international dignitaries this isn’t reflected in the poor facilities. I was gravely disappointed as the Shangri La is one of my favourite hotels. But the one at Westlake very disappointing. I left after a few hours. The hotel is below its normal standard and is Three Star at best. No value for money.

Very mediocre food; old rooms and gym; no notice on website that pool is under renovation ( important criterion with kids!) Lives off old glamour and location but in dire need for renovation. Overpriced.

The location just in front of the West Lake! Very friendly stuff with children and adults ;) for the room service, the person came to our room to double check if the order was well understood and they gave us a good recommendation for a westerner restaurant outside the hotel.

The hotel is a little bit oldish but it’s ok. The kids were definitely disappointed with the swimming pool closed for the maintenance :/

The staff were friendly, eager to please and some of the best service I have ever had.

The decor was a little old and tired. The room, though not cold was not warm. The spa was closed due to the time of the day. The breakfast was ok at best.
