Location was decent. Staff was nice. Parking was available.

No restaurant in the hotel and therefore dinner became a big headache each evening as there were few restaurants in Val Gardena and all required pre booking a table. Infrared heating in the room meant cold floors and wet towels. Breakfast was basic with no change whatsoever. Definitely not value for money at more than 200 eur a night.

Comfortable beds, clean rooms, lovely decor, good breakfast selection (continental). Tea available all day in the communal lounge. Good location (Selva) nice walk into the centre. Friendly staff. Beds made and fresh towels daily. Good parking. Would 100% book again. Free bus passes to get around the region.

The property is recently refurbished and looks great.

The hotel is finished with high quality but there are small but annoying things missing here and there. E.g. there is no thrash cans anywhere, there is a recommendation to try the great alpine tap water but no glasses in room, there is dining table but no cutlery, dishes, etc, there is a kind ask not to use hotel towels for shoe cleaning but why not instead put a specific towel in rooms for that (everybody comes here to hike and don’t want to travel with dirty boots)… the owners should really spend a night or two at their own venue to get the experience right. The expensive and time consuming things have been done to perfection. It’s a shame that the details are not really cared for.
