This is a beautiful location and the house is lovely, will definitely be back. The owner is easy to get a hold of and the house was well equipped

We were very impressed with the size of the house and location. Everything was well maintained and very clean. It was a fantastic stay with family. I would highly recommend this property.

We chose Shannon's place because of the view and the large comfortable front deck facing the lake. Both were great and the sunsets were spectacular. There's also an east deck for morning coffee. We all appreciated the abundance of natural light in the home, the well appointed kitchen with lots of extra pantry and fridge space. We rented the additional suite as well which is a good choice as it's very large and self contained and if people wanted their own space for awhile it was available. The outdoor firepit in the back was great in the evenings Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the space and we all recommend it.

My family of 5 (3 kids ages 7, 13, 16) and my sister’s family (one child age 9) spent a week at Sylvan Lake. My parents also joined and stayed in the attached suite. It was the perfect amount of space for all 10 of us. The house looked just like the listing. The bedrooms were large with comfortable beds. Our favourite part of the house was the large deck out front. We spent many nights out there visiting and enjoying the view. The beach is across the street so we spent a lot of time there. There are both sunny and shady spots on the beach which was perfect. The kids also loved skateboarding and biking on the street in front of the house. Some days we’d walk on the boardwalk into town to get ice cream. It was a nice mix of beach time, deck time and walking into town. The house was large enough for everyone to spread out. We had a wonderful holiday at this large and well appointed house. It had everything we needed. The kids loved the outdoor shower to get the sand off before coming back inside. We spent a few nights making s’mores at the outdoor firepit. There is definitely something for everyone at this fabulous rental!

This is a very nice property but for the cost, a little too much "Self Serve" and no attention to detail on cleanliness. The ceiling fan light in the living room was full of cob/dust webs, there were bits of food on the kitchen counter, the barbeque was not clean so we could not use it (don't want to be scrubbing a barbeque on my vacation!) the deck cooler had not been cleaned and there were food stains on the deck. The water dispenser was empty - guests are asked to leave at least one day of water for the next guest but the prior renter did not, so we had to go get water first thing. Very limited TP and paper towels, although the owner did give us the ability to enter the storage area to get more. The master bedroom is as nice as it looks, but at this price I would have expected nicer sheets, not really thin sheets with pilling. The kitchen is very well appointed and has everything you need to cook including a gas stove. Not sure how anyone renting the whole house could ever meet the laundry requirements of washing all the sheets and towels before 11:00 AM checkout. Half the guests would not be able to use sheets or shower the night before. At this price point you should not have had to wash your own sheets and towels. Very nice house, nice furniture and a great deck close to the water and priced for a premium experience - unfortunately many of the premium details seem to be neglected.

Well situated, well decorated, well equipped. We fully enjoyed every square inch of the property and every amenity offered. Thanks for sharing your lake house with us, Shannon!

My young family had a great short vacation here in July 2020. An amazing small beach park is steps away down the quiet street. Cabin was clean, bedrooms were generally large (esp master), and the kitchen was well stocked with everything. Highly recommended!
