Excellent location and a wonderful place to stay. The peace and quiet is just the tonic and the apartment could not have been better.

Nothing! Withyslade is the perfect retreat.

If you enjoy nature you’ll love a stay at Withyslade ; the farm is completely surrounded by beautiful greenery , with around 60 horses , sheep , goats , pigs , chickens and the most good natured cuddle-loving dog called Roman ( huge hit with the children !) We also spotted pheasants ,owls , kestrels and other interesting wildlife on the farm . Helen was a most wonderful and accommodating host , she helped us unload the car when we arrived in the evening and made us feel very much at home . Helen was happy for us to interact with the animals and spent a lot of time talking to us about the horses and answering our questions about life on the farm , she was lovely with the children. The farmhouse was spacious , comfortable and well equipped with views of the horses from every window . During our stay we visited Longleat safari park which was only a half hour drive , The Heavy Horse Farm, Wilton House ( great play area there ) and Salisbury . We did our food shopping in Tisbury just a 5 minute drive from Withyslade and had some delicious meals at The Grosvenor Arms and The Lamb both in Hindon - a quaint little village a 10 minute drive from the farm also with a nice play park that the children enjoyed . We loved our stay at Withyslade and are very much missing all the beautiful horses we befriended there ! Will return soon !

Having to leave .

We loved the animals on site. The friendly hosts and the beautiful scenery. It worked as a perfect base for our trips out. There are several lovely pubs within driving distance and we always enjoyed returning back after a day out, to be met by friendly animals, such as the lovely dog 'Roman'.

Great countryside setting

It was lovely to stay on a stud farm and the owner was very happy for us to walk around with our two year old grandchild to see the horses and other beautiful animals. A very relaxing and welcoming place.

It's a little tricky to find if you arrive in the evening.

Beautiful property, lovely hosts, bonus if you like horses (and other assorted farm animals :). Perfect setup if you're up for self-sufficiency: fully equipped kitchen, dining, etc... we weren't, but still appreciated the coffee & tea service.

Luxury hotel-standard accommodation in a beautiful setting. Lots of thoughtful touches and a super-helpful host. My teens loved seeing the animals too. Highly recommend.

Everything was wonderful - lovely farm in a great part of the country. Accommodation was perfect for us (family with a 5 and a 2-year old). Stables we're nearby and the kids loved visiting the horses. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend, and I'm sure we'll be back

Everything! The cottage was stunning - as were the surroundings. We stayed as had a wedding locally, but the cottage was so nice it felt like a mini holiday in its own right. We loved all the thoughtful touches that made such a difference to our stay. And our daughter especially really enjoyed seeing the animals come and visit. Helen was also a lovely host and made us feel immediately welcome and at home. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

We loved our stay at Withyslade, Helen was so friendly and welcoming when we arrived, the house is lovely, cosy and of course was spotlessly clean. We loved exploring the farm and meeting some of the horses too. We can't wait to come and stay again.

Withyslade is absolutely beautiful, such a special and tranquil place with stunning views and happy animals! Helen is so friendly and relaxed, we felt totally welcome and at our ease immediately. Gorgeous dog too! It was a privilege to walk around the farm and see the beautiful horses and (much more exciting to our toddler!) tractors and machinery at work. Wonderful area full of breathtaking views and lovely pubs. Longleat is fabulous too.

As soon as we arrived we where greeted by the lovely host Helen and her gorgeous dog Roman. The kids instantly made friends with the horses,chickens and goats. Our stay was lovely and relaxing and the farm was a great place for the kids to explore. Thank you again Helen. Our kids still talk about the beautiful horse Amazon and the fun we had.

Absolutely everything. Fantastic location, the farm is just breath taking. Helen couldn't be more helpful, goes above and beyond with everything. Roman the Dog is our new best friend. Already booked for Christmas and next Summer..
