Absolutely loved the location on the beach and the pool (and the restaurant down the road!). The house decor is old fashioned but was clean and functional. A few things like the difficulty locking the gate need fixing but they were minor. Having a security "guard" on the site was a bit different for us, but for other people this may be a blessing. We would very happily come here again!

Exactly as advertised. Well appointed kitchen, nice beds and linens. Plenty of Towels and thick TP. Outdoor showers were a nice touch being on the beach.

Inviting house and property with friendly and helpful host. Everything worked as advertised, clean house with a great pool for sitting beside at night enjoying the sound of the waves and conversations with friends.

This place is awesome. We have rented from this company multiple times and each time it exceeds our expectations. Gabriel is amazing, meets us out there to go over everything and very responsive if we need anything at all. I would highly recommend staying here. If it’s booked, I would look for other properties listed by Gabriel and team. They are amazing.

This place was phenomenal. The property is located right on the beach. The pool is great and gets sun all day. Five minute walk to everything. Great communication from Gabriel, the property manager.

Great location. Across the street from the beach and a very short walk to restaurants, bars, shops and supermarkets. The pool area is awesome and Gabriel was great in checking us in and answering our questions. The house was spotless and exactly as advertised.

Overall it was a great experience. Short walk to many restaurants and shops. Gabriel was very informative and easy to communicate with. He set up our shuttle from the airport and our excursions. I would definitely recommend this property.

Beautiful sunsets! The pool is perfect! There are many close restaurants. So many activities to do and nature to explore! The management is super nice and helpful. We had a wonderful stay. I highly recommend this place! On the minus side I would have to say the kitchen could use an update. (No dishwasher). And every house needs at least one full length mirror.

Our trip to Costa Rica was fabulous. The country is amazingly beautiful. The accommodations were everything we could have hoped for-clean, exceptional location, host was superb in setting us up for success.

This house is right across a quieter street and onto the beach. You can see the ocean from your pool/yard. Sunsets are amazing and it was so convenient walking across the street to watch them nightly. You are also right on the edge of town so you can walk within minutes to everything in town including the gym, coffee shops, grocery store, shops and restaurants. The yard and pool area are very beautiful and well maintained. The house is comfortable and there is AC throughout. Check out El Miro (local hike with beautiful views-walk or drive), Auto Mercado (best "American" grocery store about 10 min drive away) and the Bijagual Waterfall hike (about 20 min drive away). Rent a car to really see what is offered and have the freedom to do day trips.

Absolutely wonderful time!! Great house!

Stunning property directly across from the beach. Terrific yard with pool, plenty of chairs and loungers, a mango tree, and gorgeous shrubbery and landscaping. Meticulously maintained inside and out. Three bedrooms with three full bathrooms is wonderful, especially when travelling with a teen! Property manager Gabriel was wonderful and very responsive. Property is well protected with a padlocked gate, but one warning, don't leave anything outside at night. We were warned, but forgot and left some sandals and shoes outside, and by morning we were short 2 pairs of Under Armour slides, flip flops and a pair of sneakers. There is a great restaurant a short distance down the beach and it is an easy walk into Jaco to the grocery store, drug store etc. We would love to return to Casa Mandolina. We created wonderful memories with our grandsons! It is the ideal setting for family.

My family stayed at Casa Mandolina in April 2022. The home exceeded our expectations. The home & location were great, and the garden/pool/outdoor areas were exceptional. Located a short walk from many restaurants/bars/coffee shops/grocery stores/etc. The house comfortably accommodated our family of 5. Gabriel, the management agent for the property, was great. He promptly answered any questions, provided recommendations, assisted with booking activities, and addressed any issues we had. I would highly recommend this property.

Totally awesome spot.

Excellent house to be across the street to the beautiful beach. The host was excellent and it made us very secure to know that we had a representative on the property to help us in any way, yet we had all the privacy we would want. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfortable and clean. I will definitely stay there again.

Casa Mandolina was super clean and very nice. It is literally 10 steps away from the beach (which was never really crowded). The pool is very nice and the A/C worked amazing. They have a security guard who sits there in the front from 9:00am to 9:00 pm every day. The house also has an alarm system and 2 safes for your valuables. I would definitely recommend.

The pool an outdoor shower were great too. The location was a little sketchy. The house is across the road from a great surfing beach where the locals like to hangout. The house has large iron gates and a guard from 9am to 9 pm. (this may be normal for Costa Rica, I can't say) The rental company and in particular Gabriel were very professional and accommodating.
