The host met us at the door with a big smile and helped us with our suitcases. He was very welcoming and explained all the features of the apartment and gave us recommendations for dinner and drinks in town.

What we didn't like had nothing to do with the property. We just got a little bit of bad weather but being so up north it is to be expected.

We enjoyed our time in the red old house soo much! It was a wonderful stay at the home of Elizabeth and Arne, who welcomed us so warmly and were always the for questions and some stories about tromsö and themselves. The house itself is a very special place in an interesting street. And although Elizabeth and Arne were a little bit tired about that much snow, we enjoyed being in a little town with so much peace in it. Thanks a lot!

The house is perfect and cozy. It was very comfortable and spacious. Own kitchen with a wonderful view (have seen aurora twice though the window) was the best thing to have. Working stove, coffee and tea available. The place was warm and had comfortable beds. It had a beautiful artwork and lots of guides. We loved it. Arne was a perfect landlord, he was very helpful and smiling and had wonderful stories. The place was close to center - walking distance with a perfect view from the hilltop. This was the best trip we had and I really recommend the Old Red House if you are looking at a private and cozy atmosphere in city center. The house's number corresponds to the latitude of Tromso :)) which is just a perfect coincidence :)

Had a great stay in this beautiful old Norwegian house!Host is super helpful and nice , great suggestions to see the northern lights and to nice places in town!

Lovely place with a very good location close to the city center. The host was very nice as well and we felt very comfortable in general.

There some inventory lacking such as a good cutting knife

We liked the short distance to the city center, the great hospitality of Arne (the host) and the coziness. We recommend a stay here to everyone. But wouldn't mind keeping it all to ourselves. Felt like a home!

We Dutch are big, and my feet hit the bottom of the bed.

It was quick becouse the Owener lives in the building
