Upon check in they helped me arrange a shared taxi for the long journey back to Saint Laurent du Maroni for the following morning. Very professional, friendly staff. Nice property too. Highly recommended!!

Daytime staff

Breakfast, evening staff, failure to execute wakeup call, no phone in room, leaky shower and sink plumbing, no restaurant open on Sunday evening, nothing close by for walking like restaurants or shops

When we arrived, after the checkin, we asked about tours and in 3 minutes the Lady at the reception organized boat for Devil Islands and drivers. N.1, TOP. Good hotel

The room was nice and clean. Fresh towels en supplies every day.

No telephone in the room. If you need or want to ask something you have to walk all the way to the front desk. Not enough parking space. Its gated and if there is no space you have to park outside on the street.The street is very dark en there is no guard. Breakfast was just ok. Not all is buffet and you have to ask the employee if you want fruit or cheese or eggs because they put in on a table in the back and you cant get there. They do not really entertain their guests. I dont know if it is because they renovate their pool but its just boring in the hotel. We couldnt watch the world champion s hip games . Not in the room and in the lobby they also didnt have a tv with a channel that had the games.

The grounds, the seating areas and the pool were nice. The room was adequate, the bathroom could have been better equipped with a shelf to keep your own toiletries as there was only yet sink for two peoples bags, just workable.

The Morning Reception Staff need a lesson in Customer Care. These are front line people and should always greet customers with a smile and a courteous welcome, not one did so for the whole week. The evening Staff on the other hand were 180 degrees to the morning staff. The communal lights were on a timer, therefore, if you arrived home and no lights were on you could not see the door lock without having to use you own phone as a light source. The Restaurant was closed on Mondays and from Tuesday onwards there was only one item on the menu, so if you didn't like what was offered you only have the choice of Bar Food. This being my first visit I didn't have a car, therefore, I was completely reliant on the Hotel for my food as there are no "Takeaways" or other Restaurants within walking distance. The closest place was the Mercure Hotel which has an even larger price tag on everything. Everyone must be aware that the cost of living is astronomical because there is little choice, no public transport, taxis are expensive because they have the monopoly. We found a "Kebab" house that we could take food away, it cost €68.80 for 3 Kebabs in foil trays, needless to say the food was cold by the time you arrived home. Appreciate that this establishment is not associated with the Hotel.
