I originally picked this home because of the access to the lake. We did not have to cross south shore road. Once we arrived I realized this home was much more than that! Darren and Kim truly love this home and have poured their heart and soul into it, and it shows! I also rate a home by the beds, don't worry if you do too, the mattresses are super comfortable and the furnishings are top notch. Bring a dish towel though, we just brought the shower and beach towels and we missed this one. I hate to waste so many paper towels. I would recommend this home to you and anyone who asked about staying at the lake. Enjoy the dock! We spent many hours there just staring at the beautiful view and swimming in the cleanest lake water I've ever seen! The neighbors are also very nice and easy to talk to when you see them. Enjoy your stay here, you won't be sorry you booked with Darren and Kim.

Very nice the nicest we’ve stayed in so for in 6 years

We wanted a quiet family vacation on a lake and that’s exactly what we got. The house was the epitome of a lake house: wood-paneled walls, rustic furniture, and spectacular views of the lake. We were a family of 5, with children aged 7 to 11. The detached garage had been converted to a game room. The kids enjoyed playing ping-pong and air hockey in that area. They also enjoyed the books and board games left in the house. The backyard was large, with plenty of room for kite-flying, a campfire at night, or just watching the lake. The deck was an adequate size with a table with umbrella, a couch, and even a hot tub. The master bedroom was large. One of the bedrooms had a bunk. They were appropriate sizes for kids’ bedrooms. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, a coffee maker, toaster, and utensils. The grill outside was useful as well. All of the rooms were very clean and felt new. There were two window air conditioners, one on each floor. Most days, it was temperate with a breeze and cool at night. It could get warm, though, in the middle of the day. All the bedrooms had sheets, but no pillows. There were no towels in the house, nor were there bathmats. You should bring bath towels, hand towels for the bathrooms, bathmats, and dish towels for the kitchen. Unlike Lake George, the town of Hadley is not very touristy. In fact, it is a page out of the past. There are virtually no stores. Restaurants are open only some days of the week and close early. The road to the house is an unpaved path. For dinner many nights, we went across the bridge to Northville. The main street has a pizza restaurant, an ice cream place, and a general store. We had a wonderful time at the house. The kids are already asking when we can go back!

House was beautiful with plenty of room for everyone. Kids loved the game room, hammock and swing. Quiet neighborhood and great views of lake from the house.

Great property. Fantastic spot on the lake, very fun game room in the garage. The yard is huge, there is a sand beach area at the shore that my kids loved. The kayaks were a big hit. The house was very clean, with great views. Would definitely stay here again.

Extremely helpful and responsive owners. The house had plenty of space for 6 adults and was clean and well supplied with kitchen equipment which was important as we cooked every evening (the gas grill was also used). The grounds contained a fire pit where we sat star gazing one evening. The garage was a great games room, with table tennis and air hockey as well as other games. Having the use of the four kayaks was wonderful, the private dock made the whole process easy and stress free. The icing on the cake was getting into the hot tub and relaxing after kayaking. Surrounding area has plenty of hikes. We loved it here.
