The Villa is beautiful and ultra clean. The views from the bedrooms are memorable. The freshwater pool was an instant hit. The location was perfect for access to restaurants. We arrived at the villa around 11 pm and the family-run restaurant next door served us an excellent meal which we very much enjoyed and made us welcome. It was great that we could also get takeaways from the different restaurants, The peace and quiet of the Villa and the environs were very much welcomed and we hope to return soon.
Our holiday could have been longer! 10 days would have been perfect. We did try to find the local beach to no avail but had two terrific days in Kissamos at a beach bar on a sandy beach.

this property had lots of character and was situated in an amazing location amidst some great restaurants. beautiful views and lots of different spaces to relax in. The owner was very helpful and it was great to have fresh sheets and a friendly cleaner every other day.
The parking was difficult as people parked opposite the villa gates, so we had to park in the street. although this wasn’t a problem for us. Hot water was sporadic, but it was so warm having a lukewarm shower was very refreshing.

We really loved our stay at the villa! It is simply beautiful! The garden is amazing and so is the pool + view! There's even a kids pool in the corner of the big pool. The villa is based in a very small village with only a few houses and some very good restaurants. These restaurants actually are the neighbour buildings and even though you don't have catering at the villa (of course), it feels like you have something like half board because of the taverna (which by the way seems to be one of the best on whole Crete) is directly next to the villa. The food + view was amazing! For lunch we often ordered something to take away and they even brought it to the villa, when finished. And also we have to say that we couldn't hear any noise from the taverna.
The villa is huge! Enough space for I would so 8-10 adults. Also we had Bella who came in every morning and cleaned the whole villa + garden perfectly. She also did our bedrooms and brought fresh towels every day.
We didn't go to Balos Beach because we were there with a baby and a 2 1/2 years old - so we didn't dare to do the 20min walk (after a 20min drive) - but next time we will do it. Balos seems to be one of the two most beautiful beaches on Crete. And it's very close to the villa. We did go to Elafonisi by car though - which was unbelievable beautiful and only an hour drive. Also there is Falasana beach which is also very nice and a 20min drive away + when we only wanted to do a half-day beachday, we went to the little bay called "tou meri to pigadi beach" - only a 3min drive by car. We were the only ones there. It's just a very tiny bay, but with crystal clear water. Of course not with perfect sand and a little rocky (so we would recommend wearing water shows) - but perfect for a little dive in the ocean.
Parking situation was no problem by the way!
So all in all - we really loved everything!:)
Everything was fine!

The entire villa was gorgeous, inside and out. It was in a great location, with an easy drive to beautiful beaches and in a small village with amazing taverns/restaurants. Fotini was a fantastic hostess, ensuring we had everything we need to make the stay perfect.
Nothing - we were provided everything we needed.

Traditional house rebuilt and renovated with great respect of tradition and style and luxury. Full of antiquities from furniture to everyday objects, a reflection of the owner’s interest in tradition. Very comfortable and pleasant. Very nice pool and a beautifull garden. Everywhere you look, there is something beautifull and yet you don’t have that estranged depersonalized feeling of luxurious houses but have a feeling of being wellcomed in a place that cherishes history, durable esthetics and personal comfort at the same time. Very special. Located in a small vilage on the hill. Great location for exploring west part of the island.
Microlocation. The house is next to the busy road to balos and a very busy taverna (very good taverna worth visiting). In the evening there is a lot of traffic and since the road is small also trafic jams in front of the house. If you have a big car (we had a rented VW caddy) you can’t park at the parking spot next to the house and in the evening it is difficult to find a parking space in the village due to all the people visiting taverna’s on the way back from Balos beach. Also constant noise from the taverna can be heard in the afternon and evening until around midnight. On the other side there is a farm with a rooster that starts to make noise at 4 in the morning and goes on until the evening. Didn’t know the roosters can make such annoying noise all day and laughed when I read the previous reviews! The house has quite good soundproofig though and if you close the windows the noise is not a problem. The nights are quiet. The other qualities of the villa are so huge that this minuses were minor for us.
