Easy to access as it is at the back of the main building.. clearly fairly new. Warm and comfortable. Have stayed here quite a lot and will return.

The fire alarm was set off waking us from sleep. We got dressed but the alarm stopped. There was no instructions about fire evacuation in the room so we stayed up for an extra hour waiting to see if we were going to be required to leave the property. The bathroom is very small but adequate for a couple of nights the main issue we had was the shower drain was blocked causing the floor to effectively flood up to the toilet making it quite dangerous. Both these issues were brought to staff attention and resolved for us.

Location was good

I didn’t like being outside of the main building in a “motel type” development where you walked straight from the alley walkway into your room. Our room was next to a public walkway. Nowhere to sit or put clothes to air after undressing. Only one lamp which was out of reach of both beds. Very uncomfortable beds.

Room was clean and comfortable.

The toilet worked OK but the whole toilet had come apart from the wall and kept moving about when used.

Bed was very comfortable, location was excellent in the centre of Stony Stratford with lots of restaurants, shops and bars around.

Breakfast was not available until after 1200 hrs.

Staff at the Old George where great, nice and friendly. Bed was comfy, room while small had everything required.

Due to wet room bathroom the extractor fan was loud and stayed on for an hour after turning off the light, this mate it difficult to sleep in the night. I think down to this reason people are not using the extractor and was the cause of Damp around the door frame and window. Also issue with the heating, despite twice mentioning that the radiators were not working, however the room did have an electric heater, the only issue with this was that while that worked fine, the radiators turned on (assume on timer) at 06:00 an the room became unreasonably hot. My main issue though was with light from the courtyard, the security lights remain on all night and there is a window on each room door that you cannot block the light out with,

convenient location, comfortable bed, tea & coffee making facilities in room. Dogs allowed at no extra cost.

Steep stairs up to bedroom. Central heating not working on my first night. However portable heater provided next morning. No food available due to kitchen being refurbished but no mention of this on web site. Shower adequate but poor water pressure (old building).

very thin mattresses. No breakfast

I loved how comfy the bed was.

The bathroom it was really nicely decorated but we found after having a shower the room stayed soaking wet for ages.
