Beautiful hotel with great and helpful staff who would do anything for your wellbeing. We love hotel so much that we are spending our vacation there every year. Great location and great hospitality. Will come back soon

Le personnel, la vue, l’emplacement les prestations (piscine, ptit dej, parking gratuit)

Les équipements sont un peu vieux (mais reste dans le style de l’hôtel), pas de peignoir ni de dentifrice, le bruit du au simple vitrage, la lumière du détecteur de fumée (flash permanent la nuit environ toutes les 3 secs)

arredamento vecchio, stanza stuccata non verniciata, senza prese di corrente..per caricare il telefono accanto al letto occorreva staccare la spina della lampada, bagno inguardabile. Una notte a 180 euro mi sembra abbastanza esagerato, per altro non è stato spiegato nulla riguardante la struttura o i servizi che offre al momento del check in. Abbiamo dovuto addirittura chiedere a che piano potevamo trovare la stanza😅

De locatie was top. Dicht bij het strand en makkelijk te lopen naar de binnen stad. Ook konden we de auto parkeren, er was genoeg plek.

We moesten nog eens extra betalen voor het zwembad en de bedjes. Het zwembad was ook niet schoon. Alles is verouderd en niet bijgehouden. Badkamer stonk naar riool. Ik zou hier niet nog eens voor die prijs terug gaan.

La mia camera era sul retro e in pessima posizione. È un vecchio hotel di prestigio che fatica a mantenere la struttura a 4 stelle.

L hôtel présente toutes les caractéristiques du charmes de l italie à la belle époque. Chambre confortable, très propre, le buffet petit déjeuner excellent et diversifié et surtout un grand bravo pour le personnel , chaleureux et très agréable.. tout particulièrement l équipe petit déjeuner...quel plaisir

Hôtel très défraîchi La literie était horrible un lit soit disant kingsize qui n’est autre que deux lit mis côté à côté avec un matelas très fin et un sommier à ressort!!!

l’accueil à la réception. Le veilleur de nuit était très professionnel.

L’établissement est hors d’âge, une capsule temporelle des années 50. chambre vétuste, mauvaise literie, rue très bruyante. hôtel mal entretenu dans son ensemble.

Beautiful historical hotel (the first grand hotel built in San Remo in 1861) with a lot of character. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a cozy room with a nice balcony with table and chairs that we used a lot. Shower and towels are nice, the aircon is very efficient and silent. Sound proofing with the outside is very good. The cleaners are doing an incredible job in the rooms but also in the communal spaces. The breakfast buffet is very nice. Last not least: the seawater swimming pool is superb (no chemicals and no dead insects in the water). We have to pay extra for the sunbeds, and we did for a couple of days, which was actually very good and much cheaper than the ones on the beach. Location is very convenient (beach, town centre, cafés and restaurants and the 20-km coastal cycling path within walking distance). We had a fantastic stay!

Sound proofing with the neighbouring room was not as good as with the outside (there is a door between the rooms that doesn't seem very thick, which is a shame). Some bits are old and not very functional, for example the light switches, but that was not a major problem.

Property had a lot of history (Victorian construction, famous past guests such as Charles Dickens, Giarabaldi). Large room with balcony view of Mediteranean. Excellent English breakfast included. Nice salt water swimming pool. Courteous and attentive staff.

Limited parking, but staff was extremely helpful in finding free nearby parking. Due to age of property, air condittioning not optimal, but room had nice breeze coming off the sea.

This Hotel is a step back in time. We had a comfortable stay and the staff were friendly.

It was our second time spent in this very hotel. The bed is very comfortable, the view is astonishing, and the bathroom is spacious and clean. Welcoming staff and housekeepers. The location couldn't be better. We didn't need to use our car at all within Sanremo. I loved writing on the balcony. It gives utter inspiration immediately.

The twin room is although more spacious than the single, but one can hear literally everything from the other room, especially the parquet creaking. Fortunately, we only had one occasion, having to wake up at 6 am for a couple leaving next door.

Good location, very nice historic hotel, good sleep and tasty breakfast. Anytime again!

A grand old hotel in a great location staff were polite and friendly everywhere was clean and the decor reflects the grandeur of the past

The room was very dated and in need of modernisation and maintenance.

You could see that hotel needs to be refreshed but apart from that it was very nice. The room was big and clean. Breakfast was really good. the hotel is located in a very nice area, but you need 10-15 minutes walking to the city center and 30 minutes walking from the train station.

The only thing we didn’t like is that they charge 7€ per person per day if you want to use towels and chaise-longues next to the pool, considering that summer season is over, it’s a bit excessive and in general it should be included in the price of the room.

Clean, friendly and good location. breakfast was excellent and plentiful, good value. Sufficient parking behind the hotel for parking.

I requested a single double bed, but had two singles together that made in uncomfortable and mattresses were too hard for my liking. Flooring in bedrooms creaked a lot so I was kept awake by the people walking about late at night in the room above and to the side. The bathroom has a bath and hand fixture with extension hose for the shower head but without a will bracket which was not ideal to have a standing shower.

Exceptional hotel and service. The food and serving were very good, beyond my expectations. The architecture of the hotel is outstanding and the decor makes you feel like you're in a castle. A great place to return to.
