beautiful room overlooking meadow and then lake beyond. Offered upgrade at a very reasonable £10 extra. Friendly service and lovely country surroundings.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and extremely helpful in responding to a couple of minor issues we had during our stay. Breakfast was excellent; lovely food and plenty of it. We had dinner on one night, and the food was really top class. I would highly recommend staying here.

The staff were very friendly and professional, we had a great new years eve stay, with great food at a reasonable price.

location was central, staff were great an the food was delicious.

The hotel was very comfortable and for a relatively small place it had a lift which we used as my wife has a new knee. The staff were very attentive and pleasant to talk to. If we return to area we will use again.

We had specified via Booking.com a deluxe twin room but our deluxe room was set up as a double. Due to wife's knee problem, we requested a twin that then we got access to within 15 minutes, but it was a standard not a deluxe room.

Breakfast was delicious, restaurant & bar area excellent. Food very good! Beside a pub with live music Sat night.

Only stayed one night but room and facilities were excellent. Dinner and Breakfast were both served by friendly and attentive staff. The food was delicious. Highly recommended.

The Customs House was a real surprise where everything was beyond our expectations. The room was wonderful the staff friendly and the bar very comfortable

The only slight and very slight issue was that the shower was in the bathtub

Everything, the room was beautiful and it had a bath to relax in. The bed was a big king size. The food was lovely. Had a relaxing birthday treat here.

This place was just fantastic. The staff are all so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food is exceptional. We were staying for my partners 40th Birthday and they went above and beyond for us. Will definitely be staying again. Thank you for such a wonderful stay

I have known The Customs House, Belcoo, for seven years - and cannot fault the kindliness or competence of the staff; nor the consistently excellent catering.

Last Friday was the first time I had ever stayed at The Customs House, Belcoo - and never again. My room had no tea-and-coffee making facilities whatever, no glasses for refreshment (just two tragic plastic things, wrapped in polythene), no working wi-fi - a laminated card spelled out a password, but not the specific account)... and the wretched room could only be secured from inside. Leaving it, there was no knob or catch to pull the door shut and close it fast. I stress, again, that I can on no point fault the staff, or the catering...but I wouldn't have tolerated a charge of £60 for such accommodation, never mind the gulping price of £119 for a room that would have disgraced a Dumfries and Galloway bed-and-breakfast at half the price.
