been to other B&B in Clifden before, rooms here were not quite cosy when compared, therefore not a 10. Nonetheless, still highly recommended

I received a very warm welcome upon arrival, and spent two very comfortable nights at Ben View Guesthouse. It’s in an excellent location in Clifden, within very close proximity to the main street; the accommodation, room and bathroom are spotless; my bed was so comfortable; and the breakfast was so tasty and filling, for a day’s exploring around the beautiful surroundings of Clifden and the wider Connemara area.

There is nothing whatsoever that I didn’t like.

Friendly old fashioned b&b, warm and comfortable. Incredible breakfast, great food and lots of it, with choices of salmon, full Irish or pancakes as well as cereal and orange, all served with fresh sliced fruit. The host and staff were so friendly and nice. It was an absolute pleasure to stay there.

Great accommodation in the capital of Connemara. Large room with windows overlooking the Clifden the street. Found street parking out front available and free overnight. Dez, the owner, has extensive experience being third generation hotelier, at the same location! I happened to be there just before the Connemara Pony Auction and the town was buzzing. Several nice restaurants within walking distance as well as Maureen O'Hara's favorite woolen shop. Lots of history in the area with Marconi's first trans-Atlantic wireless transmission received and sent. Kylemore Abbey and Glenveigh Castle are close by. A German film crew member was at the B&B getting ready to start filming. Dez provided a wonderful experience.

The breakfast was absolutely amazing, I didn't know whether to photograph it or eat it. It tasted as good as it looked. Dessie was so friendly and welcoming, house has a lot of history and is extremely welcoming. Anyone passing on this bed n breakfast will have lost out. We definetly will be back. Top marks from us. Welcome was very good. Staff were very helpful and gave good advice on eating places and local places of interest. Accommodation was dated but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was superb and the waitress was excellent.

This is a little gem in Clifden. If you like quirky you will love this. Location is perfect. Close walk to all pubs and restaurants. Exceptional attention to detail with the breakfast. This is a b and b ran with great pride.

Des is such a gent, he really made us feel at home. The bnb is right in the middle of town, so ideal location. The breakfast was better than any hotel breakfast I've had, absolutely delicious. Homemade brown bread included! Couldn't recommend more
