Our host was amazing! Helped with everything, luggage, directions, suggestions for tour and restaurants. Plus a beautiful breakfast.

Nothing it was perfect

Our stay at the Hotel Konvice was wonderful. Katherine is an excellent hostess. The location of the hotel is fantastic. You need at least 2 nights in this fairy tale town. Couldn't have been better.

Fantastic hotel, much larger than was expected for such a busy little town. All the beds were comfortable and we loved the extra room that we had. It was nice that the hotel was located near our shuttle drop off so we did not need to walk out luggage far.

Location was excellent

This is a complaint I have about many European hotels so it doesn’t just apply to Hotel Konvice, the rooms many times are renovated but they keep the tired, battered, way past it’s useful life furniture.

A very cosy hotel with comfortable room, all in style with the building and as good as expected. Location right in the centre, literally two minutes away from the Svornosti square and St. Vitus church, and maybe five minutes from the castle. Breakfast was perfect, with a variety of options from muesli to eggs to bread and cheese, etc. Fantastically helpful personnel, ready to help - we just hoped to drop off our backpack before check-in time and were actually given our room several hours in advance.

Wifi didn't reach our room (but we were on holiday anyway, and the town inspires a bit of rest from emails and messengers).

Hotel Konvice is a beautiful hotel. The breakfast was especially wonderful and we were offered eggs prepared to our specifications. After breakfast we took coffee to the terrace and sat, enjoying the fantastic view of the castle and other sights in Cesky Krumlov.

Everything was wonderful; room, breakfast - especially out on the terrace, location, and most importantly, the owners. They were extremely friendly and welcoming and gave us lots of tips. Do not hesitate to book your stay here. We will return!

The wifi was a little bit slow.

We were dropped by coach at the top of the old town which was closed to traffic at that time of day.. We were thankful the hotel was just metres away which meant we didn't need to drag our heavy suitcases over more cobblestones. The location was excellent. Only steps away from the main square and 10 minute walk to the castle. Very quiet at night and during the day. The building must be mediaeval and it's extremely well maintained. There were some interesting flasks displayed next to the wine cellar ( pictured) to do with wine making I assume. There is no elevator but the owner helped by carrying my suitcase up. There aren't too many stairs as all rooms are just 2 small flights up. The room was plainly furnished: no kettle, coffee or tea, iron, but neither were we paying high rates and the traditional approach was fine for one night. The room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. Loved the fluffy doonas ( but not the custom of having 2 single doonas for a couple). The bed was actually 2 large singles pushed together with a gap in the middle but didn't bother us. Good shower. Breakfast was a buffet: scrambled eggs, cheeses, cold meats, cereal, coffee machine, tea ( but no toast ), juices. Staff were very accommodating and the owner allowed an early check in, cloaked our bags and let us use the lovely sunny terrace while waiting for our bus and even supplied us with drinks. This property comes highly recommended.

Didn't really like 2 separate doonas for a couple but we realise this is the custom. A kettle for tea/coffee in the room would be good

We loved everything! The owner was so sweet & helpful. We would definitely stay there again. Beautiful room with an amazing view from our window. The breakfast was so delicious! Eggs cooked perfect.

The room was very large and lovely, with wonderful views of the town. Our host was very kind and helpful!

The location was great, right next to the main square! Only a 5 min walk to the castle. Breakfast was good and satisfying. The main hotel has a medieval kind of style which was fitting with the style of the town.

We had specifically asked to be booked in the main area of the hotel to avoid carrying heavy luggages around the town. We had recieved confirmation through booking com that we would indeed be getting a room in the main part. However when we were taken to our room we were still given a room in the annex which is round the corner and down a pretty steep hill. The rooms there were not to the standard shown on booking.com and it was a very disappointing experience. To top it off the heating in the room seemed to be switched off from the main control and so we were faced with a freezing cold room. Bottom line, the room in the annex was not anything like the rooms advertised by the hotel on booking.com, leading to an overall disappointing experience.

Nice quite place, which matches the town's feeling. Everything was very nice. The breakfast was especially good.

Met Kim the owner, the most gracious and wonderful guy. Also met his talented artist friend who gave me a Rolling Stones T-shirt he painted! I really had a most marvelous time. That is what traveling is all about, meeting the most fantastic people 😊

The location is excellent, right in the city centre.

It was raining during our stay and after dinner towards the evening I was cold and felt that I started to develop a cold. I went to the hotel’s restaurant and asked for a cup of hot water to prepare myself a tea in my room. The restaurant ( I guess owner) did not want to give me any hot water, since he had tea to serve in the hotel restaurant and I should order my tea there if I wanted hot water. I explained that we rented two rooms already and that all I wanted was som hot water go take with me to bed. He said this was an unnormal request and that they sold tea in their restaurant. Since I insisted I eventually got some hot water for my cup of tea in my room.

Breakfast buffet was very well organized and generously supplied.
