het heeft daar heel de dag gestonken zoals de beerput ! Ik had mijn klant gevraagd naar het hotel te komen, wilde daar ontbijten maar in die stank ging dat niet, zijn we in de shopping mal gaan snel ontbijten ! is niet fijn !

No restaurant, bar or food in the evening. difficult for a woman travelling alone.

Loved the room, little attentions to detail eg iced lemon water downstairs with free refill water bottle in room. Lovely rooftop pool.

Location as it was too far from tourist attractions, shops, restaurants, gyms etc. Also not very nice area and takes a long time by taxi to get anywhere given their road system.

Most of the aspects of this hotel were adequate, however, be warned. When paying they will ask you if you want to pay in Euros or Sterling. DO NOT CHOOSE sterling. You would assume you are only subject to exchange rate charges by your bank. NOPE, they add on a 3.5% charge and do not mention this whatsoever. When challenge they state it is your bank that applies the charges. Entirely false. Do not get me wrong, if they stated the 3.5% charge at point of sale, I would not be annoyed, but failing to mention this has cost me in the region of £250.00 extra for a 3 night stay. They then do not communicate well to rectify and merely refuse to respond. Booking.com were useless in the mediation and just said to contact them. This issue has ruined what was a nice weekend away.

As per the above, being charged an additional 3.5% costing me in the region of £250.00 by paying in sterling rather than Euros with no mention of the addition charge. Breakfast was shocking..minimalistic is the best way to describe it. No replenishment of water in the room daily. One free bottle for 3 nights stay and then charged €5 per bottle and billed this on check out rather than stating this on order the replenishment. Pool was not clean with dead lizards in it.........

A new hotel with a funky & fresh art deco design theme making the hotel interesting. Good location, friendly helpful staff, great breakfasts & quiet & comfortable room. Loved the thoughtful reception sitting area offering if orange ice water for guests, the small roof top outdoor pool & bikes for guests as Barcelona is a perfect city for bike riding.

The bikes are in need of a thorough service .They also need decent bike locks so you can leave them without the risk of theft.

This hotel is so beautiful. Art deco perfected. The room was stunning and super spacious. The bed was extra large and comfortable. One of my best stays ever.

Everything was great

The location. The style. Beautiful boutique hotel. The reception was very helpful to guide us for parking, and flexible to accommodate us for late checkout.

One of our rooms has a tiny bit of smell from toilet when entering the room but it did not disturb at all throughout our stay.

the foyer and communal areas were beautifully decorated and the lift is also really awesome. the roof and pool was okay, clean but small and very cold. noise from building works across was pretty hardcore so couldn’t really chill and no view at all. the night receptionist was a nice guy - he was really attentive.

the rooms were so bare, not much going on. the walls were white and pretty blank. some mould in the bathroom shower and the shower kept falling off. We had the terrace room which had a nice seat, the light didn’t work outside, so at night it was pretty bleak. The TV had a few channels, all in Spanish and no music or speaker in the room. We also emailed beforehand as it was my partners 30th birthday and asked for something special. There was no recognition of this whatsoever. the mini bar was pretty sad also.

Ofelia Hotel had a very beautiful reception space and the location was also very good. The metro station is just around the corner and there is a lot of restaurants and cafes around. You get to everywhere from that location as the public transport is very well organized and on time. The room was very clean and one feels safe in the hotel. The pool area is also nice.

We like to treat ourselves once in while with a nice hotel when we get out on a get-away. This time I feel we have been a bit disappointed with the booking as we expected more of the hotel facilities and the staff. Here is the following critique points we have to add: - at arrival we had to pay the booking and we got puzzled about whether to pay in local currency or not and we would expect the staff to support in that matter. We have chosen the currency in which country we reside and lost around 300 danish kr. (40€) by doing that. It would have been of great service if the staff would have supported and commented on that so that we would have clicked on the right button - as easy as that. - furthermore as we entered the room we recognized that one of the wooden panels on the floor were loose. In a 4+ star hotel I would expect for it to be fixed before a guest enters the reservation. - In general we were left with the feeling that one pays for the entry and the first impression of the hotel and that the luxury one sees on the image material of the hotel is not reflected in the rest of the experience. Therefore we would not book another night unfortunately, as we honestly dont feel it is worth the money and we could rather find another hotel that has 4+ stars that gives us the amount of luxury that is promised beforehand for the next time we are in Barca.

front staff wasn’t the most hospitable

Very welcoming as usual. This time, the room at the back (not over looking the street ) was much better than the front as there is no street noise.

Airport transfer would be ideal.

Warm and friendly staff. Superb location for exploring Barcelona on foot, and by bus and metro. Beautifully decorated and furnished throughout. Excellent buffet breakfast.
