This home is absolutely lovely! We could not have asked for a better place to spend our anniversary weekend! There is so much to do around the area. Everything was within 10 mins of the house. The home is so welcoming and decorated beautifully. Rhonda was amazing and very attentive. She made sure we all the information we needed and was so willing to answer any questions we had. Everything we needed was in the home, including a Keurig with coffee pods, creamer, sweetener etc! I loved all the little touches including the "make up towels!!" I highly recommend booking this amazing home and appreciate that Ronda goes above and beyond for her guests. We will definitely be back!!!

Rhonda's property is amazing. Easy check-in. Great communication with owner. This is probably the best equipped kitchen we have seen in a VRBO rental. The house was exceptionally clean. The environment is amazing and Rhonda was very easy to communicate with. She even left treats and fruit which was quite a plus. Thank you Rhonda for allowing us to stay at your rental. We will definitely recommend this place and/or stay here again. Thank you, Rhonda!

I would recommend anyone staying here for any length of time in a heartbeat! The owner is beyond kind and helpful. The house is gorgeous with every amenity you could wish for. The yard is beautiful and Abita Springs is charming. I hope to come back again and would give it more stars if I could!

The house was adorable but even better was the owner, Rhonda. She personally communicated with me before our arrival. She had waters in the refrigerator as well as bananas and delicious donuts for us to snack on (and we did when we arrived at midnight)! Overall a great VRBO experience and I would highly recommend renting this property if you looking for a place in Abita Springs.

Very well appointed, lovely location.

Perfect 3 bedroom for my family, (my parents, my wife, and my child) enough room to spread out, and enjoy the area. The porches where great, and an added plus is the location to the greenway, I got to get a good run in every morning, not to mention you can walk to Abita Springs and miss the parking situation, it is literally just .5 mile from the house. All in all a great little get away for the week.

The property was super clean and Rhonda was very responsive through the checkin process. I will stay at this property again if I ever find myself in this area.

Fan in bedroom with king bed made horrendous clicking and clacking sound. Not usable for sleeping. Bummer and made for a long night of sleeping.

We visited family for Thanksgiving that lived nearby, and this property was appealing. Close enough to NOLO if you wanted to do that. The big surprise for us was the property is one block from the Tawanny Trail, which is part of the Rails 2 Trails system. We will go back and take our bikes the next time.

The home is everything that it is advertised to be, and the location cannot be better. Beats a hotel by a mile! Our group of 5 was very comfortable. The owner Rhonda is great, very considerate and responsive.

This house made our trip to visit family such a great experience. The house is the perfect size for our family of 5. We loved the space, very clean and had everything we needed!

I wanted a place that would comfortably sleep 6 on real beds with two bathrooms. This was perfect. The home was gorgeous with all the amenities one would expect to find in a their own home. The screened in pack porch was delightful. The hostess was very easy to communicate with and extremely accommodating. This gets an A+ recommendation!

Our group of two couples had a wonderful getaway at Rhonda's home. It was clean and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We especially enjoyed the proximity to the Trace and the ease of renting bikes and exploring the area. We loved the fire pit with provided log too, and enjoyed making stores! Rhonda was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again

This is a great find! We found this place to be very comfortable and relaxing! The decor is quite pleasing and the two beds we used were very very comfortable! Loved the screened in porch and open floor plan! Walking to town was fun and easy. Great food nearby! The town itself is worth exploring! Love the area!

We were visiting kids w/ grandkids in the area. This 3 bedroom house was perfect, we could host w/ the kitchen / back yard / firepit. The house was well outfitted, we'd love to come back.

Our group of long time friends (40+ yrs) thoroughly enjoyed our time as this beautiful home. It was a perfect place to gather. We especially enjoyed the front and back porches for our morning coffee chats. The location was convenient for our daily excursions. We hope to visit again and will recommend the home to friends and family.

The property and accommodations were fantastic. The home was beautifully decorated. Beds were extremely comfortable. The owner of the property was extremely friendly and even provided water bottles and a few baked goods. If we ever come back to Louisiana we would definitely come back to this property.

This home was set up with everything you need, great linens, clean as a whistle and a perfect floor plan. Apologies to the area hotels but this is a much better alternative. We will definitely be back! Thank you Joe

Our stay was all that we could have asked for. The home was lovely with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on one side of the living area and 1 bedroom with a bathroom on the other side of the living area. This worked well with two families. The home smelled fresh and the beds and linens were all extremely comfortable. The kitchen is well supplied with dishes as well as food that helped us bridge a late arrival into the next morning. Abita springs is charming with fantastic restaurants.

Over the years we have stayed in several excellent vacation rental properties but Southern Oaks is truly exceptional. Perfectly located in charming Abita Springs, spotlessly clean and flawlessly decorated. Everywhere you look are unique furnishings that have obviously been chosen by someone with a great eye. I’ve never stayed anywhere where I’ve wanted to ask the owner where she found these treasures so I could own them too! It was also special having a well stocked kitchen. This owner freely shares many kitchen basics making it so much easier to make meals at home during Covid. This home is steeped in love and care and we WILL be back. Thank you for an outstanding ‘home away from home’ that made this trip so memorable.

This house was in a perfect location. It was a comfortable, clean, well decorated and all around perfect house to suit our needs . Rhonda could not have been nicer or more accommodating . We will definitely consider staying here again!

Beautiful house, extremely well-appointed, clean and comfortable. Quiet neighborhood, blocks from the Trace and market area. The Abita Cafe is around the corner, and it's incredible. Rhonda was very communicative and hospitable. We will try to stay here again when we visit family in the area.
