We have stayed at this property three years in a row, and while it still needs some upgrading that the last owners did not do every year you can see inprovments that the new owners are working very hard to get done.

The lake house has many issues needing TLC. The house and size of house is great. The bathroom toilet needs a new flap and flush master. The nobs on sinks need to be repaired, some water was turned off due to poor plumbing, kitchen needs some new appliances, the rails on the porch should be replaced, there’s more but not enough time

Great location, house has a lot of potential. It's old and needs some attention outside and in. Septic system has problems and smells really bad. Back porch railing is about to fall off. Some cleaning issues like master shower, grill and windows. Inside was comfortable and we all had a good time. The Marina down the street was a lot of fun. Overall a great trip, but would not come back unless safety and cleaning issues resolved. Web site pictures do not reflect the condition of this house. The owner is a good guy and I know he is trying to work some of these issues.

We just returned from an amazing long weekend. The sunrises and sunsets on the water were breathtaking. The house and was spacious and had just about everything we needed. After reading previous reviews, it was obvious that the owner is working hard. We found the house to be clean and is being updated. Extremely fast communication. Thank you! We all agreed it was perfect and we will return.

This house was big enough to hold our family of 12 so that we could get together for the Thanksgiving holiday. The morning sunrise was a beautiful site. It does need some updates especially the back door and railing on the deck. Also, please be aware that the inside staircase to both the upstairs and downstairs is a spiral staircase. This could be an issue for some renters. Overall we were happy to have a large home that we could all come together to enjoy our holiday weekend.

The house was big but very old, no repairs was done probably in a few years. Water leaking in a kitchen and bathrooms, not enough lights in the house, all wood on the back patio broken, a lot of spiders and very dirty, the grill was very dirty and no gas. All kitchen supply unusable and more and more. Really not recommend this property.

Great location due to proximity of lake. Great place to get away for some quiet and relaxation. We really enjoyed the pier area and utilized it a lot for fishing and swimming. However, the place was very dirty and outdated. Some of the lights did not work, the pots/pans and grill were/was dirty, toilets and tub were not cleaned and had some residue on them, the downstairs wine area and hot tub was unusable. To their credit, the owner was flexible with our check-in and was willing to work with us, however was unresponsive at times. Overall we had a good time and were grateful for the owner allowing a large group with pets to use his house. But it could use a bit of updating and deep cleaning to really improve the experience for us and any future renters.

I don’t usually like to do this, but I feel like I need to give those who come after us a heads-up. The house is run down and has not been taken care of. The bathroom sink in the main bathroom runs constantly. I tried to turn it tight to no avail. Dirty windows, chipped paint, the rail on the lower deck is rotted and and a danger if someone should lean on it. The first time we walked into the house, one family member said “this is a one time stay” we won’t be renting this place again. There’s much more that could be said but it would take too long. Vrbo, I advise you to have someone go and look at this house. It will speak for itself.

This house gave us enough room for our entire family. We enjoyed fishing and swimming and just watching the beautiful sunset. The owner was so easy to work with. It was a 3 minute walk to the restaurant and the food was delicious. We hope to do this trip again and stay longer.

We stayed for a month with different groups coming in and out. Fished, played many local golf courses, visited local dining establishments and relaxed. We had our dogs so fenced in property was a plus.

This home has great potential. There is plenty of space for a large group. The property owner was easy to work with and replied every time I texted or called. My our 4 year old great granddaughter now refers to it as “The Christmas House”. We made some great memories here. The weather was perfect and the sunrise and sunset over the lake were beautiful.

We had 5 families rent here aging from 6-70 years old and paid in advance. The house is far from just being renovated. It is a disaster. It’s surrounded by run down trailers and houses, and the minute we arrived there were problems. The owner was there on crutches after told me he was jumped by some guys, he was drinking and trying to control a dog that he said he found that was shot. That’s right the owner told me the dog was shot and he was going to leave it in the garage while he left to go to his girlfriend’s house. He said he would lock it up in the basement. I reluctantly agreed because we had already paid. There was trash was all over the place and I had to help him move broke down golf carts just to be able to park. He lied and said cleaning people were just there, but trash was piled up in the kitchen and towels were thrown on the floor. The house was infested with flies and roaches so bad that I had family members leave after 2 days to drive back to FL. The grass was uncut and over knee high tall. We thought we would just make the best of it. What a mistake!!! He left the dog in the basement and things got even worse. We began noticing more and more problems. The fridge that had no lights and didn't work, numerous lights in the house didn't work, inside and outside, massive holes in the walls from wood rot, huge marks all over the walls in the bedrooms, the air conditioning didn't circulate upstairs, the outside porch was being held together with a ratchet strap, the porch handrail was completely broken and falling off. The lights in the bathrooms didn't work. There was dead fishing bait left all over the dock. The dog ended up getting out of the basement that night, so when my kids went in the garage to get our fishing stuff, the dog was loose and went after them, I had to go chase the dog back into the basement and lock it back up. It jumped on the door all night long which kept everyone in the house up. I called the owner who took the dog the next day and told me to put a toothpick in the light switch to make it work. During our stay the laundry broke, we had a couple drug addicts show up looking for the dog, which I had to deal with and the numerous times I called the owner times and he didn't do anything. He told me he would refund us money for the inconvenience which was another lie. He block all contact after we left and refused to issue any refund. I have pictures of everything if you want to see. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

The location was great for our family. Property definitely needs some work yet however was still a great home for our family get together. Owner responded quickly when the washer broke and even helped my boys catch some bait fish!!!

Location, location, location! The house, as mentioned in other reviews, is older and could use some updates, but the owner is actively updating the house (i.e. new floors have been installed in the common living area). The dock proved to be the most valuable portion of the property. We caught fish from morning to night simply by sitting on the dock and casting our lines out (no boat needed). This was a great location and place to have a relaxing family vacation.

It was a nice place. Had everything we needed. Very peaceful view. Lots of space. Love the layout of the house.

We booked this house as a weekend getaway to celebrate friends who got married. When we got to the property the house was not clean. The beds were made but there was trash from previous renters in the house, a half eaten cake on the counter, dust everywhere, toothpaste and grime on the bathroom sink, and to top it off a bird flying around. When we turned the fans on huge clumps of dust came flying through the house. When we called the owner it took him over 2 hours to call us back. He offered to take the trash out and laughed about the cake on the counter but we had already taken the trash out and cleaned up the mess because we did not want to sit in a messy house. We paid a fairly large cleaning fee to come to an unclean house. We were very unhappy with the cleanliness.

House was little dated but very beautiful. The property’s location was fantastic. Fishing was Great as we caught catfish weighing 43 and 30lbs from the dock. Owner was great and we truly enjoyed our Stay.

Rented this property for NYE with a big group of friends. Beautiful property on the water, hot tub works great, awesome living room area with plenty of space. Wasn't sure at first how it was going to go with a bunch of 25 year olds celebrating NYE & the homeowner on site but Tony was awesome. Great price for what you're getting.

First of all, I want to say how kind and accommodating Anthony, the host, is. He was fantastic and so were his adorable, friendly dogs. The house is very large and can accommodate big groups easily and comfortably. The view from the home and the dock are absolutely stunning and make for a very relaxing atmosphere. I know Anthony has plans to make some upgrades to the home and I think it would take very little effort to raise the level of cleanliness. Even having a professional crew come and do a floor to ceiling cleaning would do wonders for the place. Finally, the lake community was quite lovely. We walked around the neighborhood and felt safe and enjoyed the various lake views. The only problem coming from the north is that every other house has a confederate flag waving and that was a bit disconcerting - Anthony's place does not. I'd like to think it was ignorance to what the confederate flag means in today's world and hope that with time the kind folks in that community will take those flags down. Thank you Anthony for your kindness to my family in our travels. I know you can make this home an unbelievable place over time.

So utterly disgusted with this potentially beautiful home. It should not be rented until the mold is professionally mitigated. Broken appliances, filthy carpets, furniture, frig, walls, yard.... .bugs. We would not eat or cook there. Coffee pots broken or filled with moldy coffee, faucets don't work, dishwasher broken, hot tub empty and not working. Broken railings all around filthy deck. Such a beautiful location but we could not live outside for the weekend! We all were feeling sick from all the mold on walls, vents, basement room. Was never professionally cleaned. We are a requesting a full refund!
