The staff was amazing, really kind and helpfull. The hotel has a nice decoration and good ambience. Everybody with a smile. The bedroom is ok with big size and the bed is confortable.

The location was not good, It is a dangerous area. That is not a problem of the hotel but you have to move by car anywhere (Although the hotel staff is always checking for the safety). The breakfast is always the same. The hot water did not work well.

I loved the clean bedding and exceptional customer service. From the entrance gate you are welcome with sunny faces. Which makes it a pleasure to be there.

The restaurant had awful service, to an extent where our breakfast was not only almost 2hrs late, my food order was also late. Sadly, with much frustration I ended up not eating the food. Truly, don’t come with high hopes when you order food, though according to the manager/supervisor they only booked a SINGLE chef knowing very well they had hosted an event the night before. Food was so disappointing!

The restaurant in the hotel is very nice, the rooms are very clean and modern. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

The wifi connection is very weak inside of the hotel rooms, it was only working perfectly in the lobby. The rooftop bar is closed from monday - wednesday.

Das Hotel hat ein Restaurant, so dass man zum Abendessen nicht noch einmal los muss. Frühstück war gut. Die Betten waren sehr bequem. Das Zimmer war groß, ebenso das Bad. Von der Dachterrasse hatte man einen wunderschönen Blick über Johannesburg. Jazzkeller sah auch gut aus. Man musste Eintritt bezahlen und hätte reservieren müssen, ansonsten konnte man an der Bar gesessen. Das Personal war überall sehrvfreundlich.

Der textile Fussbodenbelag ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Wände in den Fluren sind dunkel gestrichen und wirken dadurch enger. Die Beleuchtung im Zimmer lässt das Gefühl aufkommen, als würde man eine Sonnenbrille tragen.

Hot water took a while and no nice view/neighborhood but i guess thats normal in joburg :)

The staff are super friendly and the rooms clean Furthermore the place is quite to rest and the best TV channel's.

The interior design of the hotel is artistic and creative. The location is in a really dodgy part of Jhb city, but at least they have secure basement parking. The Marabi Jazz Club is also a great experience if they are adequately staffed.

The premium room we stayed in was okay. However, each time we opened hot water, only droplets of water came out. Water pressure is only good for cold water, so we had a cold shower. The Marabi Jazz Club Thursday Date Night was the reason we came to stay over at the hotel, but unfortunately, they were short staffed, and this negatively impacted on their service. Each meal course took forever to come out. The main course took over 1 hour to be served and the dessert took 40 minutes. It was really unpleasant. It's a pity because we were really looking forward to it...

The hotel has both a roof top bar and a restaurant with live jazz music. The room was spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful. Free water and kettle with various teas and coffee. wifi was good throughout the building.

The music in the roof top bar was deafening - a small space but with massive speakers. I did not have hot water in the shower and six times during the night the TV came on - by the 6th time I unplugged the TV. This may be related to load shedding but it was very annoying. Also my room was very cold and the airco was set to 30 but it did not really warm up the place and the little convector heater did not either. The restaurant was nice but its veggie options were limited. I did not like that breakfast was a choice of 4 set menus: I prefer to select my own food and again there was only 1 veggie option : a bowl of fruit and yoghurt. I know the hotel was designed by a famous person but it was too industrial and dark for my liking. It was for instance hard to find the door to the elevators as the whole wall was black.

No city view as listed and one thing i know is im never spending a dime to sleep in that property ever again

Cool interior

The lifts and floors are a bit confusing. Breakfast the next day took way too long and I ended up leaving before being served. Breakfast staff seemed very disorganised.
