Great place with plenty of space! Loved the convenience of being able to walk to bars/restaurants and even Wrigley Field. Was everything we could’ve hoped for!

We rented the property for 10 days to celebrate the wedding and weekend activities for our daughter and new son-in-law. We shared the house with our in-laws family. It worked out really well and we were also able to host some drop in meals with other friends and relatives in the area. Will the owner, was very responsive and addressed the minor issues that arose. We had a great time and I highly recommend the house if you have a family occasion in the Lakeview area.

It was so nice to have room to spread out in this spacious home. We loved the vintage furnishings! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Will was a great host. We had some trouble initially with the locks and he was very responsive and helpful. We will definitely book this property again.

Great location. One block to walk to Lake Michigan. Ten minutes to El, and only 20 minutes to Wrigley. Safe/quiet neighborhood. Secure parking. It’s not fancy, but it was just what we needed.

Stone mansion was very spacious and it was in a great location. We had a great time and no issues with our stay!

We were visiting from Wisconsin for our choir group trip. We had some last minute changes and Will was very accommodating. The property was very spacious and clean. We were able to locate everything we needed very easily. Overall we would definitely stay here again!

Lovely place, with free garage parking, which is such a luxury in Chicago. Safe neighborhood close to the shoreline, close to public transportation, close to good restaurants etc…. The first night was fine. All was quiet and good. There is no party and no excessive noise policy but around 8pm we heard a party brewing downstairs with the bass of the music so loud it made fixtures rattle up in our unit. We asked our host to do something about the situation. He offered to ask them to turn the volume down “a bit”, which they did to the point that fixtures in our unit stopped rattling. But the party was still loud enough that it was hard to sleep. We are musicians on tour who needed to be well rested for concerts and for travel. We are aware that we cannot rehearse at hours that would keep neighbors up and we are careful not to inconvenience anyone around us. At 1:30am it was impossible to sleep. I messaged our host who never responded. Then I resorted to trying to call the host on the phone but he didn’t answer so I left a detailed message. He didn’t call me back. Eventually, around 2:30am, I went down to the unit and let them know they’d been insanely loud the whole night and it was very inconsiderate of them. The party died down after 3am. I was livid, our being involuntarily morning people. It was impossible for us to make up the sleep before a hard travel day. I eventually heard from our host and he was mortified to find out what had happened. He said the downstairs people had behaved poorly and unacceptably and he would speak to them about it. So perhaps it won’t happen again. Otherwise it was a wonderful place to stay.

The property was a perfect place for a family vacation. We had easy access to LSD and only blocks away from shops and restaurants. The building has a stoic and historic look that added to its appeal. The unit was clean, bright, and for a family of 6, everyone got their own room. I like to cook, so the kitchen had everything I needed to fix simple meals. Broadway is only a couple of blocks, with all sorts of food being accessible with a short walk. Being North of downtown meant we took a lot of Ubers. But it was easy to get onto LSD and Uber drivers had no problem finding us. We did rent a vehicle for a couple of days, and it was nice having a garage for parking. The Red Line is a quick walk, which was nice for our trip to the Bear’s game. The host, Will, was extremely friendly and helpful. As embarrassing as it may sound, he was onsite when I set off the smoke detector with my cooking of bacon. He was at the door, ladder in hand. Thanks for sharing your space with us.

The host was very easy to work with and flexible. The building is lovely, secure, and in an excellent location. Parking was a bit tricky for our group, but having the two-stall garage made it more manageable. I won't hesitate to book this listing again while hosting a large group in Chicago.

Group of 7 (old friends and our adult children) for the weekend. Great space, comfortable beds, well equipped and situated close to v fun neighborhood. couldn’t have asked for more!

Very easy process. Space was great for our family, neighborhood felt safe and grocery, restaurants right around the corner.

The apartment was large enough to accommodate 8 adults and 2 teenagers. The kitchen was nicely updated. The apartment and area were quite and safe. The location was amazing, close enough to everything but still quiet at night. Had a great time- would definitely recommend to anyone with a large group.

Easy access to public transport…lots of ethnic restaurants made for fun meals. Host was easy to contact. A porta-crib would be a nice amenity, but not crucial.

Excellent place: beautiful and well maintained. So convenient to walk to places for food or have it delivered. Not 1 but 2 parking spots included. It was really cold so we didn't get to enjoy the lake, but if we had, it was so close. Such a GREAT place!

Our group of 8 had plenty of space and comfortable sleeping arrangements for all. The house was exactly as described with full amenities, a friendly host, and a convenient location to restaurants, the lake, and public transit. Would highly recommend and would book again.
