I liked the history, the memorabilia around the Inn, its authenticity and historic relics, location, informative papers explaining events and conditions at that time, the comfortable bed and the two young girls who greeted us who were very friendly.
I was very disappointed, even somewhat shocked, at the poor upkeep of the exterior and grounds (lack of inviting landscape) of the Inn. It almost turned us away fearing that the inside would be just as unkept. Fortunately, inside was clean. It could be very pretty with all the flowers and greenery that grows in that area. It doesn't do the Inn and its place in LDS history justice to have it look so run down from the outside.

The location was excellent for visiting the sites in Old Nauvoo. The history of the Willard Richards Inn drew us to the location.
Getting to the Inn after 7 PM was hard as the streets were blocked off due to the pageants. We had a private restroom down the hall, but we survived just fine.

Historic and significant
a little in the chilly side but Cohen remedied the issue with a space heater for our room after all 3 story 19th century homes were not made for modern HVAC systems

Location being within walking distance of the historic district.
The detached but private bathroom being down the hall was interesting. This was our first B&B so this may be normal.

very restful and relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast was well done and the hosts very friendly. We were the only couple there but it would be a great place for a couples or family stay. We enjoyed the historical places to visit and the local “merchantile.”
Not many eating options in town but they drive to Keokuk or Ft Madison were not long and the route along the Mississippi was very scenic

Such a charming bed and breakfast in the heart of Nauvoo historical location. The history of this home is awe inspiring. The place is clean, well stocked and comfortable. The breakfasts were hardy and tasty!

The breakfast was absolutely wonderful! We loved meeting and visiting with our delightful host and were impressed by all that she was doing to make our stay a comfortable and happy experience. We would definitely recommend the Willard Richards Inn!
It was somewhat difficult for my 80 yr old mother to manage the stairs and the large bathtub. We were fortunate enough to know the other visitors staying there and they allowed her to use their shower. It is a little tricky to have to access the bathroom across the hall, but certainly worth staying at the Willard Richards Inn none the less!

Excellent location in historic center.
Hostess was very friendly and gives you personally attention and makes sure that you have a pleasant stay at the Inn.
Breakfast was a piece of Quiche and 2x little beef burger patties served on a plate and a fruit yoghurt.
We were expecting a full loaded breakfast other reviews were talking about. The hostess has to learn how to cook a proper breakfast.

Genna was very knowledgeable about the house, which had deep historic roots and meant my husband and I could make the most of our stay. We found some family connections thanks to the detailed information about items dotted around the home. The location was amazing and immersed us in the Nauvoo experience.

This is a beautiful, well restored historic house. It is also filled with a number of interesting artifacts. These artifacts included historic furniture pieces and pictures which may not be suitable for families with small children.
We met the owner and the families several times and they were wonderful hosts. The breakfast were freshly cooked and filling.
It is located within walking distance of historic Nauvoo. This made it very convenient.

I loved everything about our stay. We gave them about a 15 minute notice. They came to the Inn to open our room. We could take pictures of all the rooms and antiques. Our breakfast was fabulous and our host was perfect. An absolutely delightful experience, right in historic Nauvoo!! I highly recommend this Inn to everyone!!

The staff was very accommodating. Very clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was made the way you wanted it. Comfortable seating area to watch movies and chat with other guest if you like.
