Overall, a pleasant experience. Upstairs bathroom needs attention though. Tub needs resurfacing and caulking, exhaust fan doesn't work, which is probably what contributes to the rust on the metal in the room as well dirt on the blinds on the window in the shower. Tub spout not properly installed and bathroom door needs bottom shaved so it doesn't drag on the floor.

Great location, huge space, wonderful yard.

My friends and I had such an amazing stay at Melissa’s lovely property! The house was just as described and was clean and had every amenity that you could want. We were lucky enough to have nice weather, and enjoyed spending time in the spacious backyard while we were there. The town is just a short walk away and we took advantage of some of Melissa’s recommendations, such as Bowdie’s and J. Petter Galleries. She is a very communicative host and we are looking forward to returning soon!

Three generations celebrating Christmas together and near additional family. House was perfect. Great size, plenty of comfortable, clean rooms. We hosted Christmas Eve, and the kitchen was very well equipped. We loved the cozy family room with the easy to use gas fireplace. (Two fireplaces in the home) There was even a Christmas tree set up in the living room. Very much enjoyed our Christmas with family here in this home.

This was a wonderful home. Plenty of room for 8 adults, nice location. Exceeded expectations!

Beautiful home and spacious backyard for gathering! We were 12 minute walk to downtown area and 5 minute drive to the beach. We enjoyed our stay!

We had 7 adults, a teen and a toddler for a week - we were impressed with the beautiful furnishings and the wonderful backyard. The only thing we wished we knew was that one of the bedrooms is through the primary bedroom - it was not the ideal set up for us. Otherwise it was quiet and a great location to get to downtown Saugatuck, Douglas and the surrounding areas. Overall would highly recommend for groups!

Everything about this home was perfect. The property has outdoor seating and a fire pit that is run by propane, so no wood smoke in your face, a closed in backyard safe for children, and beautiful lighting for after dark. And that's just the outside! The kitchen has everything needed to prepare meals there. The dining room seats everyone comfortably as does the rest of the house. We had 8 adults and 2 children and we never felt closed in. It is also walking distance to The Southerner, which has delicious chicken and biscuits plus honey bread. We would definitely stay here again. Melissa was wonderful with communication as well. Perfect vacation home and we highly recommend it.

Very clean home, well supplied kitchen-- it had everything we needed, quiet neighborhood, plenty of room to sit and talk in various areas of the home, nice sheets and towels, nice decorating touches throughout the house, the home is well cared for and doesn't have that "rental" feel. The inside of the home was quiet-- voices didn't carry, people got up and went to bed at different times-- no noise carried. We would return to this home again!

We had a great time at this beautiful property. Saugatuck is a great place for a quick weekend trip - nice shops and restaurants, close to the beach, and plenty of peace and quiet! This house is very close to the downtown area. The house had plenty of room for our family and pets. The back yard is completely fenced in and is quite large. My dogs spent a lot time in the yard. The house was very clean and had a great kitchen, Wi-Fi, laundry room, ect. We would definitely stay here again!

This house was perfect for our group. There was so much space, and many activities for everyone! Beech is only about 30 min away, and Sugar is 15.

Great location, beautiful home

When I book a home to stay with my family, I always read all the reviews to make my decision. Each and every review gave this home five stars. The home was described as an In-Town Historical home filled with luxurious amenities and detail. We were looking forward to our stay. The house was historical and spacious with two fireplaces and a fenced in yard which was great if you brought your pet. The house was driving distance to town but NOT WALKABLE. The furniture and decor in the house were dated and worn-out. The host boasted of luxury linens and towels that did not exist. Closet space was scarce. The kitchen although well stocked had pots and pans as well as cooking essentials that were of poor quality and dirty. When we first arrived the drain in the kitchen sink was clogged and the coffee pot overflowed. The host did call a plumber who resolved the problem. There was NO CABLE on the TV. It was a free live TV streaming and did not include local or national channels. It was extremely difficult to use. With the current situation in our country with Covid the cleaning people only surfaced cleaned all the rooms. We actually cleaned counters etc. and took previous guests' garbage out. We paid a lot of money and were quite disappointed with our stay.

This beautiful home, and the proximity to downtown Saugatuck, made for a lovely Thanksgiving weekend.

House as advertised

We stayed with the family/grandkids for a long getaway weekend for Halloween. The house was perfect for our group of 9. It was in a great location...walking distance to shopping, the park and cool 'hanging out' spots. There were a LOT of activities going on for Halloween. Our grandkids loved it. We plan to make this an annual trip and would love to stay at this house again!

This was the perfect rental house for my family and I (6 adults, 2 kids). Location and property were outstanding. Plenty of room to be together and apart. I was especially impressed with how kid friendly it was, and the family/master suite upstairs. Backyard was so relaxing with plenty of space to gather around the fire and still have space for the kids to run around. We were also able to walk into town, and there are plenty of attractions within a 15 mins drive. We can not wait to go back!

We are regular visitors to Saugatuck and have rented more than a few properties there. This home easily goes on my short list of best rentals. Impressively large and spacious, could easily accommodate a larger family. We appreciate decor and the home is well-appointed and thoughtfully decorated throughout. Every room shows attention to detail. We cook most of our meals ourselves and the kitchen is thoroughly stocked. The back yard / back garden are well-manicured, fenced for privacy, and we made good use of the large gas grill and ample outdoor seating. The house is in a quiet location and within walking distance of the downtown Saugatuck restaurants and shops. Large driveway and garage with plenty of parking room. Communications from property owner were pleasant, timely, and accurate. Really an outstanding experience all the way around, highly recommended.

All bed, bath,living,kitchen, and outdoor spaces and parking were fantastic. Some bedrooms you could hear highway traffic at night. Ability to walk to town was great.

An easy house to live in. It is short on closet space so don't overpack! I took my 11 year old dog, who is a tripod, and she loved the fenced yard. She did have trouble with the steps going into and out of the house.

Property manager Melissa is super great to communicate with. Always met our needs.

The house met all expectations for our group of 8. The patio, grill, kitchen, den, bedrooms and bathrooms were all perfect. Melissa was most attentive and easy to reach. We would definitely consider a return engagement!

Great location within a short distance of town, the beach, and local activities. Property is well-maintained and is a beautifully-updated vintage home (from 1870). Melissa was very accessible when we had questions or needed help. Would recommend booking this property.

Great property to walk to town, drive to golf & the store, work from home & relax outside

Our group was 8 people - 2 grandparents, 4 adults & 2 children (age 9 yrs.) This house is spacious and comfortable. There is plenty of room to spread out and find work or play space plus a nice dining room to all enjoy a meal together. The kitchen is well equipped and very functional. There is a lovely backyard with a grill & fire pit and a nice grassy area for a game of bocce. Location is excellent as you can easily walk to downtown Saugatuck for restaurants, shopping, galleries or fishing on the river. You are a short drive to Douglas or to local beaches.

The Rivercroft is spacious, beautiful and located conveniently to all Saugatuck and Douglas have to offer. The house is extremely clean, well equipped for all your cooking needs and has plenty of spaces for hanging out, working/studying from home or finding a quiet corner for reading or napping. The fenced backyard and shady front porch are icing on the cake. Access to the garage was great for securing our 6 bikes during the week. There are many great restaurants in the area; Pennyroyal Cafe & Provisions was our favorite. And my NYC daughter was over the moon to be able to have Charley, her dog, with us. Rivercroft is a true 5 star! P.S. Melissa the owner was extremely helpful before and during our stay - very pleasant and prompt with all communication.

We were attending a wedding at the Felt Estate so we decided to stay in Saugatuck and explore the area. The house was perfect for our grown family of 7. We were very comfortable and house is in a great location. We really enjoyed our trip. Thank you Mellisa for being a great host!!
