Road noise affecting 2 lower bedrooms Cleaning could have been better Several minor faults which need correcting eg loose floor tile in kitchen,most door handles were loose ,missing shelf inside fridge door ,toilet cisterns leak , On arrival lots of black bin bags containing rubbish in basement of entrance.We managed to put out and get collected these 12 bags of rubbish. In theory there are 2 rubbish collections per week and 1 for recycling .However waste must be placed at kerbside the night before.it was unclear whose rubbish this was but we ended up sorting ourselves due to the smell.

Location

The apartment was beautiful, a great size for 5 people with 3 great bedrooms, a lovely living space and balcony (as well as multiple bathrooms). Our host was wonderful and extremely accommodating which made our stay even more special. We would absolutely stay again, wonderful location and great value. Our host made sure we had 3 great fans which meant it didn't matter as much that there was no aircon (we visited in Sept). Its close to the tram, and parking stations for Lime and Dott bikes too (lime right outside) which is very handy in Bordeaux, and situated right next to the Jardin Publique, which is beautiful. Overall our experience was really positive and would advise people not to hesitate in booking this place. Thanks!

As mentioned in other reviews, two of the bedrooms are at street level so quite noisy but bringing some simple ear plugs as well as the fans meant the noise was fine.

location was great, good size apartment

We said approx arrival time was 4pm, we arrived at 4.08 and the person with the key was not there. Apparently they had just left. We then had to wait on the street with two children for 45mins.

Spacious apartment in great location. Overall was okay, apart from lack of response re a couple of issues - see below.

Broken toilet on main floor - continuous flushing and handles falling off (we were advised on arrival that these would be fixed during our stay) - we’re unable to use during our stay. Lack of response from concierge, then from property managers, who similarly failed to respond to Booking.com. (Who in turn have not fully responded!) Also, apartment could do with some TLC & a deep clean, for example, entrance stairway very shabby & dirty, not very welcoming.

Modern bathrooms. Generous number of towels. Thank you for installing fans at our request but the street noise was too bad for us to stay. Ice cubes in freezer were very welcome during the recent heatwave.

Extremely poor communication with owner. We were left waiting five hours for contact to be made to meet up. And I have still not received an apology nor acknowledgement of the error in their office. The street noise in the 2 basement bedrooms caused us to move out. The windows are at street level so there is a safety issue. Someone could put their hand through the grill screen. No bed side table/lamps in room upstairs. Deep bath to step into to access shower. No mirrors in bedrooms.

Worst experience I have ever had. I boiled alive. No fan, no AC

Spacious, well-equipped, attractive living space and kitchen, great location in Bordeaux-right by the beautiful Jardin Public-a lovely space to walk, relax, picnic, sunbathe.Casino grocers ship close by, short walk to tram stop and just a few minutes tram ride to many key destinations in the centre of Bordeaux and to the river Nice to have two toilets and two showers (plus a bath) for the three bedrooms. A cool, shaded outside space, with pretty aspect to the back of neighbouring properties. Nice big French door windows opening onto the street with Juliette iron rails.In hot weather you can create a through breeze in the living space which is very welcome. The bedroom on this floor has a window that opens onto the balcony so can nice and fresh to sleep. We were met dead on time by the lady who welcomed us and,explained everything clearly and quickly. A smooth arrival.

The two downstairs bedrooms which are partially underground,,are quite noisy,as the windows are at pavement level and traffic idles at traffic lights outside. Also, because of this, it is not suitable to have windows open to allow air in and as the weather was very warm, we found it difficult to sleep I think this could be alleviated simply by a fan in each bedroom.. French door window lock needs fixing-but did not effect us adversely and upstairs toilet door needs a new handle needs fixing/replacing-but no big deal .The ironing board needs a cover! I managed to iron my trousers using a towel..

This stylish apartment is in a lovely old building and bigger than it looks in the photos – I travelled with my two teenagers and we each had a big double bedroom, which was fantastic. You can walk or get the tram to everywhere in Bordeaux.

The two bedrooms on the lower floor are on street level so you can hear traffic and passers-by. The apartment is in a quiet neighbourhood so this didn't bother us but might be an issue if you're a light sleeper.
