Beautiful lodge and beautifully greeted. Had a lovely stay!

We enjoyed everything at the lodge, it was like home from home with the added luxury of the hot tub. The Cider Barn on the development is lovely, great atmosphere and the drinks and pizza are fabulous. We also loved that the development was dog friendly, we could let our dog off the lead by the orchard and he happily joined us in the Cider Barn.

We thought the decking area and outside seating could do with some attention, weeds coming through the decking and both decking and furniture could do with a re fresh. We also didn’t like having to check an inventory list and pay an extremely over inflated price for any breakages, we come away to relax, not to worry about a glass being broken and being charged a silly amount of money for it. Recycling- we loved the way you provide the bins for this, but don’t put plastic bags in them, we would be happy to wash them out.

Warm, homely, clean. Eco friendly. Loved the hot tub. Comfy beds. Loved the added touch of the dressing gowns & books and games. Also had a having a pint of real milk not the little Uht pots was very thoughtful. How peaceful and dark( at night) the room was. Everything in the kitchen you would need even had a travel bottle, lint roller (eco friendly) and bowls for the dog. Living roof. Loved the near by little cider and ale pub that’s sells a little bit of take away food. I liked that the property had a Hoover and other extras ie heater, iron board in the wardrobe. We arrived a lot earlier than we expected after struggling to find the location as maps took us about a mile away. Thankfully are lodge was all ready and they kindly let us check in early. Staff are very helpfully. It was good contactless checking in for Covid but it was a real touch that someone came a knocked on the door at a distance to check everything was all ok. Loved that they had put up a Christmas tree. Will definitely be back again and might even bring some more people with us :)

The tv in the one of the bed rooms is a little small and on one side rather than central to where the bed is. Would of been good to of had a washing machine particularly as you have wet costumes from the hot tub. Would be good to have the wooden banister on the deck to be a gate in one corner.

Lodge was excellent, all as advertised. Great spot for a base to explore this part of England.

Couldn't be helped but cutting lawns etc was a bit loud and the roads onsite were very dusty. If these are all I can find to moan about, you can see all was good ;)
