The house was perfect for our family of 9. Between the beach outside the fence and the pool( which had a shallow area for our 2 younger grandchildren), there was always something to do. And the neighborhood offered several choices for great local cuisine!

I had my wedding at the Hermosa beach house hotel next door and I stayed in this house with my bridal party. During the wedding, we were literally next door eating dinner outside with the house in view, three men broke into the house through a window (all doors and windows were locked) and stole all of our valuable items including laptops, cell phones, passports, money, jewelry, bags, headphones, cologne, anything worth value. Over $15,000 in items stolen from 8 of us staying at the house. We were warned not to leave anything outside and were told people might wander up from the beach and take it, but we were never warned that something like this might happen. It felt like we had been watched the whole time, the timing of everything felt very planned as me and my guests were frequently going in and out of the house during the wedding except for when we were eating dinner. The window they broke into was the ONLY window in the entire house that didn’t have a stick in it. I couldn’t sleep afterwards knowing what had happened. The property owner/ manager was not very helpful and didn’t offer any sort of reimbursement or to file a claim with insurance. Overall, the wedding was great but this ruined the whole trip for everyone that was a victim. The thieves were on camera and we filed a police report but nothing came of it. The property manager / owner was not very helpful. We even had people trying to scam us saying they had our stuff and if we sent them money they would give our stuff back. Use caution if you stay here.

The property was exactly what we were hoping for. Right on the beach and close to Jaco but not in it. Julie and her staff were awesome. They set us up with some surf lessons and a number of great tours.

Our Costa Rica vacation was 15 members from two different families all together in Playa Hermosa. The house was fantastic, in a great location, overlooking a gorgeous beach on the Pacific Ocean. The bedrooms, living areas and kitchen are all very functional and well finished. The home is far enough away from Jaco for some peace and quiet; however, there are plenty of restaurants, a market and some take out within walking distance. Jaco is a short 15 minute drive. The home amenities and service were excellent - the AC kept us cool and the view from the upstairs balcony - the full width of the house - was amazing. I would recommend Playa Hermosa and we would absolutely stay again."

The house and property are beautiful. Everyday macaws flew over while I was swimming in the pool! I was amazed on our arrival and I cried at departure. Ivan and staff was very attentive!!!!!! Ivan was on point. My sister called him “Johnny on the spot”! Mario was a wonderful chef. I fell in love with the Costa Rican breakfast he prepared! would definitely love to stay there again! I can not rave about this place enough! The place is beautiful and the people amazing! Pura vida!

This property was excellent! The space was perfect for my group of friends. The beachfront view, food, and service were top-notch. Julie took care of everything! It was literally a perfect trip.

Beautiful house, awesome sunsets, great pool!!

Two families (9 people) stayed in this beautiful house with a great pool right on Hermosa beach. Julie our host was able to recommend and arrange some great excursions, Most groceries are close by or Jaco is a short car ride away. Also some very nice restaurants a short beach walk away. Great vacation.

My friends and I stayed for 4 nights and could not have had a better stay. Julie was amazing at helping us plan and answer any questions we had. The house is even more amazing then the pictures show. There is a lot to walk to and Jaco is a short ride away. We had the most fun simply hanging out around the house, pool, and beach. We would go back in a heartbeat and I would HIGHLY recommend you stay here too!

I had an AMAZING time in Costa Rica... Julie is wonderful and very helpful. She was on POINT with our excursions, she told us where everything was located. The pool guy came over everyday to clean out the pool. The front desk lady was very friendly, the entire staff actually. We talked about going back we enjoyed it so much.

Our stay was everything we hoped it would be! The villa and guest house were clean, spacious, great location walking distance to multiple restaurants and small markets, very safe feeling, and stocked with all the essentials. Perfect for our large family of 11. We loved the location right on the beautiful beach and the large pool was thoroughly enjoyed every day. Iván was amazing and helped us with numerous activity bookings, restaurant ideas, and any needs we had. We had one AC issue and it was literally fixed within minutes!! Amazing! Julie was super helpful with our many questions we had beforehand and during our stay. My kids especially loved the iguanas and many exotic birds we saw from the villa. I really don’t think our stay could have been any better. We would love to return someday!!

The perfect beach house for our family vacation over the holiday. Plenty of space for all 6 of us and felt very safe and private. Large pool but also a great shallow section for kids. Beach felt private but had local surfers at sunsets- so fun to watch! Julie was an attentive and helpful host!

This house is one of the best properties in Playa Hermosa and it has everything to have a perfect vacation with your family or friends. The house was very clean, the common area and the pool are great...I really recommend this house.

Julie had a chef cook our group of ten breakfast and dinner at the house. It was great! Definitely recommend!

Julie was very accommodating. The house had everything we could ask for. The location was close by to restaurants and a small grocery store. She even helped us arrange transportation from the airport. I would highly recommend.

Close enough to come and go to other activities and places, yet secluded enough for privacy and comfort. Stayed 3 days, but if had planned more activities in the Central Pacific, would have stayed longer and used this as our home base.

The house is better than it looks in picture (it’s awesome). Located in the best area of town with restaurants and beach bars walking distance. Surfers catching waves right outside. Our host was extremely helpful and set up many of our activities. Thank you again

Exceptional house with a fantastic outdoor area including big pool and covered patio. You can get a amazing view of the waves from the second floor balcony too. Bedrooms are all large and plenty of space to relax inside. Truly a hidden gem that we will come back to again. Thank you to the wonderful host Julie!

What an amazing stay! Julie was so attentive and helped us with a last minute surprise wedding! We absolutely had the best time. With this location we had plenty of places nearby and to eat in town.

Property is perfect. Spacious, clean, pool was very nice too. Right on the beach , felt like a private resort, and very close to Jaco. Host was amazing and very responsive. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back again!

This house has it all. Perfect beach, location, pool, amenties, size, cleanliness, etc. And the host Julia is truly an exceptional one. She was very attentive and helpful. If you are looking for a wonderful Costa Rican experience, book this home!

This is a great beach front house for either 4-couples or two large families. The pool is awesome and you can also walk right out on the beach from house.

Family vacation over the holidays in the perfect house on the beach. Secure and private with everything you need. Huge pool and space inside the home. 2nd floor deck was excellent for incredible sunsets. Beach had hardly anyone on it! Close to everything yet you feel like your on an island!

An awesome house right on the beach. Awesome sunset views on the second floor is a perfect way to end the day. The beautiful black sand beach is right outside the back gate and awesome beach bars and restaurants are just a short walk away. You can go in the water but I don't suggest going in too deep due to extremely dangerous rip tide (warnings posted at actual beach entrance). The owners are easily contacted and live close by so they are around for any questions or help. Can't wait to go back!

Amazing villa right on the beach. All the bedrooms are huge and have their own bathroom. You can just sit all day on the balcony upstairs and stare at the ocean. Huge lounge area also upstairs with a pool table which we didn't get a chance to use as we were a small group but I imagine big groups would love that space. Kitchen and dining areas are also huge. We enjoyed walking right out onto the beach and walking, especially at night. The pool is also huge and kept clean and lots of shaded area outside for dining outside on the patio. Owners are a really nice american couple who live next door and were available for any questions. The house was very safe but they have a night guard also and its gated.

We had an amazing stay, the location was beyond perfect. Right on the beach, and only a short beach walk to restaurants. We felt very safe because of the night guard and the gates. The house was amazing- very large and great for a group or family. We will definitely be coming back!

Beautiful waterfront property with great pool right on Hermosa Beach just south of Jaco. We love Jaco and have been there a number of times but find it can be a little to busy for us at times - Hermosa is the solution. The water here is not as sheltered as Jaco Bay but if you love to surf or boogie board this is the place for you. The property is owned by the adjacent boutique hotel owners so it is well maintained and managed by very nice people....highly recommended.
