The location

we received a phone call before we checked in that property was double booked towards the end of our stay and would we be willingly to be moved to a different location or to a hotel. we told her no we would not….the other party wasn’t coming until later in the week so it should effect them not us. the place is advertised as having a pool….it was not filled with water and looked as though it had been that way for quite some time. I called host and inquired about using pool at golf villas 2 and she said yes and dropped off key fob. if I hadn’t of asked would key fob of been offered? the site advertised being able to play on pga championship course but they were having a tournament this weekend so couldn’t book any rounds. that info should of been noted as no one but golfers would stay here. the shower head was filthy….there were no pieces of silverware out so we got extra plastic silverware from eating out. last morning we found silverware in a large tote. the beds and pillows were hard as a rock. no comfortable chairs to sit in. the balcony was full of cobwebs and had several wasp nests so couldn’t sit out there.

air conditioner in the bedroom was very loud, but overall the property was a pleasant place to stay for the night.

Upon arrival to the property we called to get the door code but were told that our reservation couldn’t be found. Shortly after, she found it and realized it had been double booked. I booked through booking.com on 2/13 and another group had booked the same stay on 2/13 through Airbnb. The other group got to stay while we had to find another place to stay at the last minute which is more costly. I don’t know how she chose one group over another ($, friends, ?) if we all booked the same day but maybe we called too late (615pm). Either way, she didn’t have the property managed well because there was two weeks worth of time where she could have seen a double booking and called one of the parties to reschedule or find other accommodations. On top of it, we had a busy schedule that weekend and lots planned which were derailed by not being able to check in and refresh and do what we needed to.

we stayed at the property for 2 nights, but liked it. If I'd go to the area again, I'd definitely choose that condo. The location was very convenient, close to the highway and a short drive from a big shopping plaza. On another side, it is a very quiet area. The host was very helpful, provided us in advance with all check in info and directions. the check in was very easy. the condo was very clean and fresh. Beds are good quality and comfortable. a small kitchen with lots of cookware and accessories. A roomy and clean bathroom.
