I hope to update this review, but unfortunately it has been difficult getting any contact and follow through with Vacasa. My review directly connects to Vacasa’s communication and coordination issues, maintenance problems, and service failures.
Despite making multiple requests regarding the floor plan of the home, we were given the runaround, which included failed promises to connect us with a local manager. The Vacasa app provided outdated information for property contacts, creating unnecessary stress, and making it difficult to plan for our stay, particularly for our elderly family members.
Upon arrival, we encountered numerous issues that impacted our vacation (broken AC, ovens, and ceiling fans, malfunctioning exterior door, missing TV boxes, etc). Obtaining essential items such as the golf cart keys and a lockbox code were unnecessarily difficult and time-consuming, despite multiple communications. I made contact with a local property manager who addressed some of the maintenance issues, but many were not addressed toward the end of our week-long stay. I experienced repeated delays and missed appointments. On two occasions, I was promised maintenance personnel would arrive the following day, but no one showed up, which disrupted vacation plans. I was promised multiple times a call from a Vacasa supervisor, but never received a call, and my requests for follow-up have gone unanswered.
We hope Vacasa can take accountability and provide a higher service for future stays

This home is amazing! It is beautiful decorated, our guest had plenty of room to spread out, the pool and hot tub was beautiful, multiple kitchens and all were equipped with everything you needed and more. Everyone that stayed there were very complimentary of their accommodations. We felt that we had our own private resort and only steps to the beach. We hope to go back for another family gathering next year.

We stayed at this beautiful home at the peak of Spring Break and enjoyed it so much! Our group was made up of a combination of multiple families and friends, with a variety of preteen and teenagers…and all loved the amenities! The number of bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect. Because of the “sister house” we were a little unsure how the bedrooms were laid out and tried to piece things together ahead of the trip based on the listing, but eventually just needed to see it! Some bedrooms include adjoining rooms which worked for our group. The house boasted 2 kitchens (2 in the main house and 1 in the sister house), plus an outdoor kitchen space that had a fridge and dishwasher and master grill, which we were also unsure about based on the listing description. The only somewhat disappointing things (which were minimal) was that the previous guests trash was not picked up until the second day of our stay, one of the bedrooms closets was mid-rehab, and the golf carts breaks were crazily hard to press. Other than that - this place was top notch!!!! Would reco!!!!

This two house property is beautiful. With any rental property, there are things that definitely need fixed (broken hinges, one of the windows is a double pane, but it’s a single pane now, the WiFi is suspect at times), however, those are minor compared to what you get with the amazing outdoor area. This house was perfect for our family of 19. Highly recommended. Book it. You won’t regret it.

Our family loved every aspect of this home. We chose this property due to the outdoor space and amenities offered for our daughter’s wedding on the beach. It was just as the photos depicted in the listing. Beautiful decor and furnishings. Brittney, our representative thru Vacasa, was wonderful to work with. What small issues we encountered, she worked very hard to accommodate the need. Our daughter was happy, therefore we were happy. Absolutely loved this property!

My aunt has been gracious enough to always make sure the 25 of us from 3 generations get together every 2 years. I found this property and it looked perfect. We just need a certain amount of rooms and bathrooms and a big enough pool. Besides a few things that were pretty important not working properly (ice makers) The house was great. Getting ahold of someone was difficult. I had sent two emails prior to our stay with questions and didn't get much of a response. But I believe those were sent to homeowner and not VRBO. I am pretty sure everything went as expected and would stay at this property again. Once I got ahold of someone at VACASA they were on top of everything. One thing though is that I don't think I was sent checkout info until June 17 and at that point I wasn't checking my email and had no idea there was a book in the main house with checkout requirements. We left unopened items in fridge for the cleaning crew but I don't think everyone bundled their bedding. So that info should have been sent prior to stay so I could have shared it with the others and made the cleaning process easier. All in all a great home.

Birthday trip
We had a great weekend, and really enjoyed the house. The outdoor space was awesome and our favorite place to hang out. The property manager was very response to messages and was great to work with. We had 16 people stay at this house, and we all had plenty of room and space. Would definitely stay here again!

Spacious beautiful house!
Great house for big groups. House is beautifully decorated and clean. The kitchen has all the cooking equipment and pots you will ever need. Great eating and cooking area outside. Stocked with soap, shampoo and Mrs Meyers soap in every bathroom! Pool is amazing! Brittany, the Building manager, is very responsive and wonderful! Steps to the beach but right next to a Alvin's Island store. Bring your own spices!

Absolutely beautiful
This property was perfect for our friends and families. We had a group of 16 people, and each family had their own space with room left to spare! The house was beautiful and the location was great. The only down side to our stay was the heating of the hot tub. The hot tub was only heated 3 out of the 6 days we stayed here. The property manager was friendly and very responsive to our needs. The staff came right over whenever we needed the hot tub turned on, it was just inconvenient that it wasn’t ready when we needed it. I’m not sure why there is a heating fee when we were unable to use the hot tub for half of our stay (which thankfully the property manager waived for the inconvenience). Other than that, it was perfect. It doesn’t take away from the fact that we had an absolute blast and would recommend this place for anyone having a wedding or family get-together!

Wedding, Family and Friends.....Amazing Week!
To say we enjoyed this home is an understatement. We had our family and closest friends stay with us for our wedding. It couldn't have been more perfect. The property was beautiful, the pool was beautiful and our house was beautiful. I was greeted by the property manager who was helpful and sweet as could be. I called her about having the pool cleaned the day of our wedding because it was windy and leaves had blown in. She had the pool guys there within a half hour. Overall our stay was fun and we lived in luxury. We will definitely rent this home again in years to come.

Great house....but!
I have to say the house was a perfect gathering place for the 26 of our family. The accommodations are beautiful, and having beach access so close and having a pool, made for perfect fun! And Laura was so helpful pre trip along with while we were there. However, we have rented many Airbnb and VRBO houses and never found so many things not working. My most important concern prior to arriving was keeping my small grandchildren safe from pool accidents, hence the door alarms were important and Laura knew this far before our arrival. It was obvious those alarms were broken long before we got there. Hot tub drain was not covered - against the law and dangerous, electrical outlet on floor of outdoor kitchen was not covered which was unsafe along with a falling hazard, one golf cart flat tire and other wouldn't charge (had to have someone push us back to house), apartment washer and dryer broken, apartment oven didn't work and guest house oven took 30 minutes to heat up and gate by guest house wouldn't latch. This all caused problems trying to feed 26 people and keep beach towels and clothes clean and dry. Having said all this, the other amenities were enjoyed by all. If things were fixed we would definitely rent this location again.

Stone's Throw is Amazing!
We loved the location and the two houses with a pool. It was perfect for our two families. The grass lot in the back was great for playing games on the lawn.

Beautiful outdoor areas, great location!
We had a great week at this property! There was plenty of space for the multiple families and couples we traveled with. With several kitchens and living spaces, everyone had their own areas. The outdoor kitchen and pool gazebo were awesome, and the pool was perfect!
The property manager is able to help with turning on the hot tub heat and renting golf carts for an extra fee. This was a little tricky to coordinate. Beach access worked well, and you’re within walking distance to Pompano Joe’s and Bad Ass Coffee.
We had a small wedding on the property and it was perfect!

Needs Repairs / Updates
Property in immediate need of repairs across the board from furniture to appliances, etc. This property is in a great location and very convenient to amenities and short walk to private beach access point. Does provide beach chairs, floats, various games, etc. along with 2 - 4 person golf carts for an additional fee. Do not feel this property is worth the $$$ given the condition it's currently in.

The most comfortable, amazing home for large groups
I can't even begin to describe how great this property is! Far and away, the outdoor rooms with kitchen, bar, fireplace, pool, hot tub are the best. There is soooo much room. Beautifully decorated and the Vacasa team was very responsive. And Laura, our local property manager, was nothing short of AMAZING!!!! She was so responsive and answered every silly planning question I had. She went out of her way to ensure we had the perfect stay. Highly recommend!!!

Adult Getaway
This house was everything our group of 19 friends hoped it would be. Besides having enough space to hang out for a week together, the outside living area was the best part. The outdoor kitchen, pool, hot tub, and furniture all had a resort feel in a great location in Miramar,FL.

Our kids and parents were able to spread out and enjoy themselves. The kitchens have plenty of everything you need to cook. The weather while we were there was ever changing and having the private pool area with two covered patios allowed us to enjoy our time the entire time! I definitely recommend this property. From the trip planning and organizing perspective: I will say that not all rooms have a private bathroom. In the main house there are only 3 rooms (1 downstairs, 2 upstairs) that have a private bathroom. The other areas on the 2nd floor have bathrooms in the middle of adjoining rooms (perfect for family’s or friends who don’t mind sharing not ideal for acquaintances) It was a very stressful when our party arrived at first. I tried to contact the property manager ahead of time and they never answered any of my emails or messages. However once we arrived we were able to call Laura and Britni any time we needed and they answered immediately. To sum it up, I give 1 ⭐️ for being able to reach Vacasa after your reservation is secured to get assistance prior to the trip. I would give 5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ to their customer service while you are there.

Amazing family vacation!
I stayed at this house with my family and it was great! Each family has their own space so we could spend a lot of time together and have quiet time. The pool and outdoor kitchen were where we spent most of our time enjoying the sun. The owner was so friendly and checked to make sure everything was perfect. I will definitely be back!

Great Size and Location
This was an excellent family reunion home. Great outdoor and gathering spaces with plenty of bedrooms and bunk rooms for privacy. Access to beach was very convenient, and the house came with so many of the things you would need at the beach (bikes, sand castle buckets and shovels, even a little wagon to pull it all in).
The only negatives I would share is the pool amenities. We chose the home largely because of the pool. We paid the separate heating charge, but probably wouldn’t have chosen this home in advance if we would have known what to expect there.
My 4 kids, and 7 nieces and nephews, were so excited about it when we showed up (as I knew they would be). Sadly the pool was freezing cold when we got there (and in December, it was 50 degrees outside, so we really needed the heat). Over our week long stay, the property management company were very responsive, and sent a repair person out 3 times. Sadly, they were unable to fix it for more than a few hours. I recognize that issues like this are hard to foresee, but it did have a big impact on our trip, so I feel it is important to record.

Incredible House
I loved everything about this house! The house itself was amazing! Laura the manager was incredible. She made sure everything was perfect. The owner Johnnie came by and LOVED him as well. I would highly recommend this house!!!

The Perfect Private Resort
We rented Stone's Throw for our wedding weekend, and both families were able to stay here (one family in each house). Even with so many guests, this spacious residence provided plenty of room for everyone. The pool and beautiful landscaping provided a resort feel that is exclusively for you and your friends/family. The owner of the residence, Mr. Johnny Mac, stopped in occasionally to make sure we were having a great time and didn't need anything. He even brought my new wife and I a wedding gift! He is awesome! We absolutely loved our stay at Stone's Throw and would recommend to anyone looking to travel with a larger group!

Group Travel Perfection!
We enjoyed the hospitality from Laura as we toured the home and all of its amenities! We had an amazing group trip here and can't wait to go back next year! We had 14 guys and 14 ladies . We cooked outdoors indoors and even used the kitchen next door. This place has all the space you need for a large or small group. Amazing adventure in Destin! We loved it so much we're already planning to return!! Thanks again Laura!

Family Reunion
The property was absolutely perfect for our family reunion. The proximity to the beach made it easy to go back and forth for those that didn’t want to spend an entire day in the heat. The layout of the houses also made it nice for the different families to spend time together in their separate spaces before gathering in the main area. And the pool was amazing! The property was very clean and had everything we needed for our long weekend.
We would definitely come back and stay again.

Stone’s Throw
We loved that the property included two homes, which left ample space for our large extended family. The golf carts were a plus, but it was unfortunate that there was a separate charge for them. The carts should definitely be included considering the hefty price to book this vacation home. The pool was nice, but I must say that it was not very clean when we arrived. After two days, someone finally came to clean the pool. It would have been nice to have the pool clean when we arrived. Also, there were a lot of repairs that needed to be done around the property that were not fixed until two days after we arrived. However, the property manager did schedule maintenance to come, it just took a couple of days. There are tons of pool floats, beach toys, and anything else you need to enjoy your time at the beach available for use at this property. The close proximity of the home to the beach was definitely a huge plus. Overall, we had a great time staying at Stone’s Throw!

Outstanding property for multi family vacation
We went as a large, extended family. With the separate houses, we all had our personal space while still enjoying quality time together. The outdoor space is awesome. The kids really enjoyed the pool and we cooked outside everyday. It’s right across the street from the beach which was very convenient. Also appreciate access to golf carts, beach toys, and home appliances. We would definitely stay here again. The house was very clean and had everything we needed.

Excellent home...Needs minor things to make it a 5 star
So lets start with the minor things that it needs to make it a 5 star since its a short list.
For the price and size of the house it definitely needs an ice maker to accommodate big party of 30 people..we found ourselves going for ice run every day. Second is trash pickup. We stayed Saturday-Thursday...it would of been nice if there was trash pickup every other day. It was supposed to be Monday and Thursday pickup but for whatever reason trash was not picked up Monday and by the time we left Thursday there was about 6 or 7 big bags of trash that we had to just have on the side of the house dealing with the smell.
Third, there are no curtains in the rooms. That is a BIG problem when trying to sleep in.
Last is instead of charging for use of golf cart it should come included.
Now to the great features....we rented the entire property. Wonderful property
Our group of moms and seniors so enjoyed our time at Stones Throw. The property was beautiful and very well stocked. The pool area and backyard were amazing! The property managers responded quickly when questions arose. Overall, a wonderful week!
