Great location very near to the rainforest entrance. Nothing was too much trouble, they helped us to organise a four hour trek in the rainforest, we saw scorpion, terantula, kangaroo lizard and a beautiful waterfall with the opportunity to swim. Food was excellent and we had tea on arrival.

Location was really good and staff served us well.

We had serious issues of water supply for our washing purposes in bathrooms. Prices were really high for the food comparing the quality of them.

This place is nothing. Dont go. It wasted my whole trip. They upload edited photos to the webside. But when you go there it was nothing. No location. Very small place. Swiming pool like a bath tub. I spend more than 40dollers for one night with my freinds. But nothing there. I am writing this beacuse when people see there webside fake comments and edited photos they will decide this plafe is very nice. But actually its like a HELL. ##they provide very uncomfrtble beds for the peoples. Please see the hotel in LANKAGAMA AREA. FONT GO TO THIS FKN PLACE.

The food was very late. They need to be faster in service. I asked them to get the bbq ready by 6pm but they started it at about 8pm so it was very late. The room for 5ppl only had 1 water bottle.

Just WOW !!! This was by far one of the best locations that we have stayed at in terms of the view. The view was mesmerising overlooking the beautiful magical view of the whole Sinharaja Forest area, surrounded with beautiful mountains, the nearest hotel to the Sinharaja Forest entrance Pitadeniya. The staff was courteous, helpful and very friendly. The food was good and service was absolutely excellent, congrats to the staff. Meals were delicious and they were taken care of each and every small things so kindly. 5 star credits to the Chef as well. Also Thanks to the Guide as well. We had a great tour with our Guide Vijitha. He was wonderful at spotting animals and explained the trees and fauna very well. Can highly recommend him as a Guide in Sinharaja Forest.. Highly recommend..!!! We had a great day and Thank you The Rainforest Village team.

Excellent staff and great chef.

it was beautifully quiet and the staff was very nice and helpful. i forgot something there and they quickly helped organize to have it brought back to mirissa by a driver who went there anyways.

i would have preferred to have mosquito nets in the room especially with the open windows. however, i got no bites at all in the night fortunately. still i would suggest to bring them on. all in all really great stay though!!

Great location, walking distance to the entrance to the Sinharaja forest. Friendly staff, nice pool.food was delicious,room is also very nice and cozy. Everything was very clean and our guide was also very friendly. He (Siril) showed us many things in the Sinharaja forest. Highly recommend this place.

This place made an excellent spot from which to explore Sinharaja Rainforest. The staff was very kind and helpful, and the food was good. The place is a bit rustic, but from what I can tell, most of the places in the area are. What I mean by "rustic" is that you might find a few jungle insects in your room because there aren't screens on all of the windows or mosquito nets, and the room is very basic. All acceptable and to be expected if you're a more adventurous traveler and/or backpacker. It suited our family just fine. The pool was wonderful after a hot, humid walk in the jungle. Rainforest Village is just a few minutes walk from the entrance to Sinharaja Rainforest, and the guesthouse recommended a wonderful local guide who spotted three kinds of snakes, tons of birds and lizards, as well as monkeys. Go with their guide!

I did recommend that they put screens on a couple small screens over the door and primary window. No critters got in that way, but I think it helps with peace of mind.

Great location with the view towards the rice paddy field! The room was huge and of good value, although can be quite hot during summer as no air-con (only a fan). The wifi signal is weak in our room and only works in certain corners although our room was fairly close to the router. Food and drink were well-priced. The manager is very helpful and supportive. He messaged us as soon as we booked to make sure our arrival was as smooth as possible.

Wifi signal can be improved. The night tour could be improved regarding equipment (night torches...).
