Bayou Heron had a deck collapse and we were forced to evacuate for our last night of stay and place at another property not at the caliber of Bayou Heron.

The view was beautiful. Most everyone was very friendly. Everyone had dogs, which was great for me! If you dont like dogs, dont stay here. I was very disappointed with the unit not clean. Dust on all light fixtures, and baseboards, ect. Light bulbs blown in several fixtures. My family and I had a great time on the Island! It is located far enough away from the Rodeo that is a quiet and peaceful, most of the time! Cute area!

This condo is in a good location and is perfect for a get away

We loved being on the bay and having a fishing dock. We also liked the new kayak launch nearby. We enjoyed a sunset boat cruise with one of the neighbors.

I love DI - the people, the ocean, and the many things to do. I stayed at this location 2 years ago and it was great. It has gone downhill tremendously. Given the wrong code and could not get into key box (did, thankfully get Jennifer to respond and she had the code), key never really worked right - lock definitely needs changing. Tub did not drain in small bath, and no hot H2O in small bathroom sink, bottom sheet in small bedroom and was in a ball under you during the night because it did not fit the bed. dirty utensils in kitchen upon arrival and frig had a reddish film on one shelf, no internet - jennifer again responded in a timely fashion but we opted to go somewhere else and pull our stuff down off the web. Jennifer suggested rebooting the modem box which i could not find. There also were no instructions on how to operate the TV and which of the 4 remotes to use. Very Dirty rugs. Light on porch by small bedroom was so bright that even with the curtains closed i could read a book - need blackout curtains. The location is great but would think twice about returning. Very sad as i know how this location once was. The neighbors were very friendly and helpful.

The location was excellent with many restaurants close by. The only thing I was disappointed with was the carpet (very stained) and no WiFi our entire visit. If these two things are rectified, I would have given 5 stars.

The condo was very nice, housekeeping was awesome.

Our condo was very close to both shopping and dining. Our evening looking at the gulf were very quite and pleasant over a glass of wine. There is lots to see and do on Dauphin Island. You can drive to the main land which is a short drive to enjoy the local eateries . Captain Snapper’s and Islanders were just two of our favorite places to dine ! There are a number of others on the island.

We had a great time! We fished from the dock, swam and walked to the beach. There's even a couple of gift shops in front of the condo. Had a great fishing/tour with the neighbors who own Fish Junkie, they took us out to the beach and we had a fantastic time.. we will be back!!

Visited for a 3 day weekend with my boys and their ladies. We had a great time relaxing and enjoying the island. The rental was spacious and well worth the money. I would stay again.

Enjoyed the stay at Dauphin Island. Pics of outside deck was not completely accurate as in listing and the unit had some cosmetic issues like peeling paint in the bathroom, stained carpet, and not as clean as hoped it would be. Kitchen stocked well and comfortable beds. .

The condo is in a great location. The beach is literally across the street. If you prefer calm water drive to the West end beach which is at the end of the road. The drive is short but scenic. The neighbors are friendly and polite. The check in process was fast and issue free. The only thing I had an issue with is the cleanliness of the condo. The carpets had spots all over as if someone poured liquid in spots forming a trail from living room to master bedroom. There was visible dust in the living room and washroom. This made the condo seem and feel dirty. Not sure what the turn around is for the condo but these are things that cleaners should pay attention to as well as the usual general wipe down and replacing of supplies. The condo was well stocked. Anything we could have needed was there from extra blankets to a fan. I do suggest grabbing all supplies prior to coming on the island. There is a 20 minute drive to Mobile to go to a Wal-Mart or grocery store. Some of the folks in Mobile are not friendly. They are downright rude actually. Also skip any restaurant with "Pirate" in the name. The wait is RIDICULOUSLY LONG.

We had a wonderful time staying here. With my parents, husband, and 10 month old, we had everything we needed. We set up a play area in the living room and actually put the baby’s pack n play in the master bath since it was big enough. Great jacuzzi tub and all toiletries needed. The kitchen was a great size and had all the stuff we needed as well. Location is good since it is in the middle of the island. 5 minutes from west beach and 5 minutes from the east side. Three restaurants within walking distance. The public beach across the street was awesome too but be aware it’s quite a hike.

Great location the condo was clean and comfortable. The kids enjoyed the pool. Our family enjoyed the trip will book again

The Island and property provided a peaceful getaway. The bay provided beautiful sunsets and opportunities to watch all the types of birds.

What a great condo on the sound! The elevator definitely came in handy with our older dog. The kitchen is very well stocked & the whole condo was extra clean! There aren’t an abundance of restaurants on DI, so we would recommend bringing groceries in for your stay. We took our dog swimming at the beach by Pirate’s Bar & Grill. The beach across the main street from the condo is about a 1/2 mile walk from the street to the shoreline.

Great condo! Very clean, plenty of room, and great location. I would suggest for people coming to the island to make a stop for groceries before you get there. We enjoyed our stay!

This was home away from home with a beautiful view! We loved sitting on the deck listening to birds and watching pelicans and sea gulls while the sunset provided a beautiful show. The home was very clean and comfortable - well stocked with any item you would expect to need.

This condo was in the perfect spot for a quiet trip. Not a lot of traffic and right on the water.

We loved our stay! We have been to the island many times and this was by far one of the best condos we have stayed in!!

The condo is well appointed. The primary bed mattress needs updating. The primary tub is stellar. Location is desirable in Dauphin Island. Parking was ample. Check in was easy.

This is a wonderful condo in the perfect location. Beautiful views. The furniture and decor were quite cute however……the carpet is very, very stained. We are very grateful that we’re able to bring our 70 + dog but would keep shoes on. Nice quite neighbors. Across from Incredible beach that allows leashed dogs (very rare). Very laid back beach vacation spot. Island very dog friendly. The rental had a very sweet coffee bar providing a Keurig and a drip maker. It would have been nice (as in other rentals) to have at the very least a mornings worth of coffee and salt and pepper. This island lacks a decent grocery store (there is a piggly wiggly on other side of the bridge ). The grocery options are small limited and expensive. I would definitely rent here again. Replace the carpet and very flat pillows and this would be a 5+ Dauphin island is a very beautiful place to recharge.

Perfect condo for a girls weekend. Peaceful location overlooking the sound. I have stayed here before and hope to stay again! Only problem is there is only one beach chair so bring your own.

We enjoyed our stay wish it would have been longer. Will definitely recommend an will definitely come back.

We loved the location on the bayside. It provided great views of pelicans, king fishers and great blue herons. Being avid bird watchers this was perfect. A very quiet location that offered a walk to the beach and restaurants close by.

The condo was just as described. The Police officer that owned the condo upstairs was redoing his floor over New Years Weekend. The 7 am and 6 am start times left little to be desired with the hammering and pounding. This went on all 4 days we were there. Luckily we spent most of our time at the beach. We did have to spend an hour on the neighboring dock until it got dark and too cold the remodel noise was so bad.. I did mention to the owner that it was pretty loud when they were working, however it didn't do any good. His handyman helper even threatened me to a whoopin in front of one of the other neighbors.Te condo was fantastic the experience not so much, hopefully for otheres the remodel is done.

Relaxing stay.

Somehow the place we wanted got switched to this place And we were shocked when we pulled up nevertheless if I was to book it knowing about it then it would be different but one main thing is that the hot water only works in the guest bedroom and there’s a lot of Old dog urine on the floor. It seems like a place where people lived not went for vacation but it was a great location and a cute clean condo.

This place was clean and perfectly located on the island with a beautiful view of the sunset on the bay. It was within walking distance of some local spots that we visited. We had an incredible mid week getaway. Thank you!
