We absolutely adored this charming cottage! Being on the gravel road just far enough away from the world, but close to Champion, 7 Springs, and Donegal. On Sat evening we could just hear the band at the wedding next door if we were on the front porch. It made for a wonderful way to enjoy the evening. The living room has the perfect reading chair and I absolutely loved the hammock and fire ring out back. The bike trail is nearby and it is absolutely gorgeous- highly recommend!

Great stay at an adorable little cabin. We explored the surrounding parks during the day and then would cosy up on the comfy couch at night and snuggle while watching TV. The cabin was great and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to get away for a bit. If you have children, just note that the steps up to the loft are very steep -- more like a ladder. Not a problem for us, but something to note. Also, Fred just had a new water conditioner put in. It was great! Not only did it make great coffee, but my hair loved it as well!

The property was perfectly located and clean. The outdoor space was picturesque! Our children haven’t stopped talking about our weekend since!

This cabin is small but extremely cozy! It was the perfect getaway for myself and my husband. It was so peaceful! Fred was so easy to contact throughout our stay. I would highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking to get away. Just make sure to pack warm clothes!

This cabin is exactly what we were looking for. After a grueling work schedule, we needed some time away from home to unwind in a quiet, cozy and restful abode with nature all around and a wonderful fireplace. We could snuggle in front of the fire when it was raining or take any of the numerous hikes in the area when it was fine. The cabin was exactly as described online - attractive, clean, comfortable, and perfectly situated in the Laurel Highlands. The owner communicated with us extensively, so that as soon as we arrived, we had everything we needed. Today, we are sorry to be leaving and will definitely stay here again in the future.

Cozy and comfortable, Fred's cabin was perfect for a getaway weekend with friends. Lots of little comforts like fireplace, pantry staples, and pillows made for a great relaxing weekend.

We had a great time at this beautiful and cozy cottage in the woods! Our group of four was extremely comfortable and felt very welcome by the Owner. Even when we had an issue finding the check in instructions that we received some weeks prior, he responded right away and resent them. He also stayed in touch during the weekend offering an occasional tip about what else to do on the property. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces were fantastic, and the property (especially the creek) was beautiful. Thanks for a wonderful spot for our fun weekend!

Very private, close to everything.

A cozy spot with a cute pond to walk to down the gravel road and a nice fire pit in the back. Short drives to several state parks for hiking. Host was very responsive!

This cabin was just what we were looking for. We wanted a cozy cabin with a peaceful environment and this property checked all the boxes!

Wonderful, cozy, clean, well equipped cabin in wilderness. Fireplace adds the charm. 25 minutes to Fallingwater. Absolutely recommended.

We really enjoyed our visit! The cabin was so cozy and clean, the kitchen well equipped, the bed comfortable, and the decor made us feel very welcome. THe location was excellent. Great hiking nearby in Forbes state forest, and close to seven springs and Ohiopyle for additional hiking and touring opportunities. We plan to visit again soon!

We had a great trip to the Laurel Highlands for a much needed getaway and change of scenery. Fred’s cabin was perfect for us. The fire pit out back is great for campfires and s’mores. We had one evening of rain and the cabin was comfortable and cozy. The cabin is secluded and private. We enjoyed the quiet and solitude. It was an easy starting point for day trips to the Flight 93 Memorial and Ohiopyle State Park. We also enjoyed hiking at Laurel Run in the Forbes State Forest just down the road. We hope to return for a ski weekend in 2021. Thanks, Fred.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin. We've stayed in many VRBO rentals, and this is by far the most generously supplied. Fred is an excellent host and very responsive. The location is so peaceful and private, with easy access to plenty of hiking and biking. This is such a beautiful area of the state, which we just discovered last year. The cabin is best suited for a couple or small family. I would only suggest this for 4 adults if they are very comfortable with each other since one of the bedrooms is an open loft. It was a good fit for my husband, me and our 8 and 11 year old boys. The beds and sofas were comfortable and the kitchen was well-stocked. We easily prepared all of our meals in the cabin. Coffee junkies should note that there is no drip coffee maker, but we had fun trying out the Nespresso machine and the french press. Our favorite spots were the awesome fire pit and the front porch enjoying the view. We loved being able to bike to the ICV trail from the cabin, which I highly recommend. It was scenic for the adults, and flat enough that our 8 year old managed 10 miles without complaint. We would definitely stay here when in the area again.

Fred was an exceptional host. His cabin is quaint and the location is exceptional for a small family to access hiking and bike trails. A visit to Whoa Nellie Dairy is worth the trip for the best chocolate and white milk. Our tween and teen also enjoyed the alpine slide at nearby Seven Springs.

Nice cabin with beautiful woods in the back and meadow in the front. Lots of wild life to watch. Property manager answered all questions. Instructions were easy to follow.

I stayed here with my husband and toddler, and we really enjoyed ourselves! My husband joked he wanted to buy the cabin out from the owners LOL. Everything was according to the pictures and the listing. It's definitely cozy and cute, and perfect for a family getaway. It's in the woods but also close to activities, stores, restaurants, etc. Everything was clean, and we were happy that there was antibacterial soap and bleach cleaner spray available for use. All of the bed linens smells freshly washed. Bottled water was provided as well. There was an abundance of firewood, which was super convenient. Also well-stocked with necessities like toilet paper, dish soap, paper towels, and garbage bags. The stairs up to the loft were a doozy, but it was super cozy up there. We slept great! We were nearby to an event venue, and for a little while on Saturday night we could hear some music/noise from what we assume was a wedding, but it wasn't loud or unpleasant at all, and ended early enough. Just something to note! Only "complaint" was the back yard was getting grown in with weeds/plants, which made it hard to let our toddler roam the yard since he doesn't know what to watch out for. Thankfully there's a wooden platform he could hang out on, and he liked running up and down the private gravel road with us. Thanks for a great stay!

We had a great weekend skiing at seven springs. This cabin was the perfect location to come back to at the end of a long day. Small and cozy. We'll definitely keep it in mind for future trips

Our stay was magical and we will definitely stay here again. So close to Seven Springs, restaurants, trails...... just perfect!!!

Rented this cabin for a little weekend getaway. It was fabulous! Has everything you need and then some for a great weekend. The owner Fred was very prompt with answering questions and giving helpful advise for places to eat. Definitely enjoyed our stay.
