PROs: This property is nicely decorated with modern updated appliances, plenty of dishes and glassware and cooking utensils. Nice grill. Good internet/wifi. Easy to follow notebook of instructions provided by the owner regarding amenities and check out process. Owner was quick to personally answer questions prior to our stay. CONs: There is only one main TV , no TVs in any bedroom. Early, non flexible checkout time.

We went to Frankfort with close friends for a nice weekend trip. We figured the weather wouldn’t be great but it’s always great to visit Frankfort and the salmon were still running! The house itself is wonderful. It’s very clean, comfortable and spacious with updated features throughout. The location is also great. Close enough to walk to all the shops and restaurants but far enough away to feel a little secluded. The owners were very nice and easy to communicate with through the entire process. The only reason I cannot give this property 5 stars was the checkout time. Checkout is listed at 9:00am. Somewhat unreasonable to expect families to leave that early on a Sunday during the off season. I had asked for a late checkout of 10 or 11am which the owner denied. She wasn’t impolite but it was an absolute no way due to her cleaning crew having to come in. I was offended as I felt like the owner made the cleaning crew more important than a paying customer. I feel that if you’re paying a substantial amount per night PLUS a high cleaning fee, there is no reason to not grant an additional hour. The owner did cite COVID cleaning procedures. I have used many cleaning crews for my home which is larger than the rental. It has never taken 7 hours to clean (4pm check in time) or been more than $200, including COVID cleaning procedures, even with only 2 people doing the work. I believe they had 4 or 5 show up to clean which made me feel worse. Overall the house is great but the flexibility with the owner was very disappointing.

A group of us had planned a trip to Frankfort to attend a friend's wedding, which ended up getting canceled due to the pandemic. We made the trip up anyway and were glad we did! We had an amazing weekend at this lovely home. It's in a perfect location walking distance to downtown, the beach, etc. The house was perfect for our group with an open layout and super clean. Thank you for the hospitality!

We loved our stay at Michigan Memories! The house was absolutely beautiful. It was beautifully decorated, very clean and extremely well equipped. We had everything we needed and more! I have never rented a home that had so much available to use including all the best appliances, cookware, bake-ware, dishes and utensils. We had plenty of room to accommodate our family including a large living room, a nice working area with a desk and coach, big dining room and a front porch and back deck. We especially loved the fire pit in the backyard. It was so nice to sit around the fire and talk every night. The location was great with a short walk to a fantastic beach and only a few blocks to downtown. Check-in process and communication was simple and easy. We would definitely recommend to others and will plan on renting again in the future!
