We chose this property as a base for a walking holiday and for this it was perfect. The cottage was warm, cosy and very comfortable.

Nothing would have suited us better.

Lovely, well maintained property

We were delayed getting into the property as there was no one to answer when I phoned Sykes Cottage to get the drop box code. A neighbour came out to tell us the code. For the price you pay I would have expected some of the basics like hand soap and tea bags.

Ce charmant petit village, hors des sentiers battus, conserve l'authenticité typique que l'on espère trouver dans la campagne britannique. Le logement, spacieux et confortable, était notre petit havre de tranquillité. Et que dire de la place de parking pratique – une rareté dans ces régions pittoresques ! Nous avons également découvert une ferme voisine près de l'église, où le lait frais et les produits fermiers étaient à portée de main – un vrai régal pour nos papilles. Pour couronner le tout, notre fidèle compagnon à quatre pattes a immédiatement adopté le tapis du logement. Si seulement nous avions pu prolonger notre séjour ! Le seul regret que nous avons, c'est de ne pas être restés plus longtemps dans ce petit coin de paradis. Nous reviendrons sans aucun doute pour une dose supplémentaire de charme anglais et de confort douillet. C'est sûr, notre chien ne peut pas attendre de se rouler à nouveau sur ce tapis de rêve !

Chapel Cottage has been the most comfortable, clean and well appointed property we have ever booked. It was our gateway to the Cotswolds and more. We love the immediate community - especially buying fresh milk from the vending machine at the Church Farm. Hosts were very friendly and helpful with suggestions of where to visit also loved hearing the history of the property. A very warm and beautiful place to stay. Thank you - if we ever get back to the Cotswolds we would stay here again.

Cosy but spacious. Nice large bathroom.

Oven did not work, grill only. Back righthand cooker plate did not work. Great to have a washing machine, but would help to have an indoor clothes drying rack. A nice, inexpensive touch would have been S&P cellars in the cupboard, and a little milk in the fridge.

The location was excellent. The parking caused some issues on the frosty night, until I was told I could use the adjacent property to turn round in. The host family were friendly and helpful.

Too many emails from booking.com to find the one I needed.

The cottage was very nicely renovated, the location was nice and the bath was gorgeous.

The mattress was rather lumpy and hard to sleep well on. There seemed to be a fault with one of the burners on the gas hob. The key was very hard to turn in the lock - we figured out the "knack", but might be good to let people know to lift the door on the handle while turning the key. It would have been nice to have a few basics provided, e.g. salt and pepper, a little washing powder and fabric softener, and more than 2 loo rolls.

Quietly located cottage with the right price-quality ratio

We had the impression that the cottage had been cleaned but not so thoroughly. The bed was not that comfortable for me due to being too small. the dimensions of the bed were also not mentioned on the site, unless I didn't look closely. The light above the stove didn't work either luckily there was a lamp in the hood. Follow-up could be better and information fot tenants might be in a separate folder.
