Spacious property with ample space. Breakfast goodies were a wonderful bonus. Our only complaint was the water, which had a sulfur smell. We would stay again. Thanks

Had a peaceful and relaxing visit with friends and family at this quaint property. Had everything we needed and plenty of space - inside and out.

Loved the location away from crowds, but close to Luray and the Luray Cavern. Our grandsons loved the cows. Pre-Civil War ambiance.

An incredible rental for a group of friends or family gathering. This would be the perfect place if only it had a dock or landing on the riverfront property. Floating down from different public boat launches. One option gives you a 6 hour float to the house or about 4 1/2 hours boat launch to boat launch. Or from 0.5 miles up the road to the farmhouse in an 1 1/2 or approximately 5 beers! The beers are needed to stomach the mushy takeout! Everything else was perfect!

House is nice in size, and has beds for friends and family to get together for a river float. Everything needed is at the house and the property manager is easy to get in contact with. Internet and AC are bonus!

It was easy to rent Although I had to be taught how to use the VRBO site. The rooms are spacious. We really needed that last bedroom but it was out of commission due to the former renters because those futons are not comfortable. But the beds were and the rooms were large and airy. First place we’ve stayed that actually had room for all nine of us in the dining room. It was great and I would wholly consider coming back again.

Beautiful views of Shenandoah River and adjoining farm. Our group enjoyed the firepit and large grassy yard for outdoor games. We also liked the layout of dining room with 3 separate tables for small group conversation. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook for a group. We used all beds and futons for our group of 14 students & chaperones, but sleeping 22 as advertised would be tight unless you put children on the futons. We could have used a few more lawn chairs so our whole group could sit outside because the living room has limited seating capacity. The hosts responded promptly to all our questions, and we had a great time enjoying the attractions in Luray area.

Was 60 degrees upon arrival and took a long to warm up . No access to river . No reading lamps . Should have been told that bathroom access through one of the 2 bedrooms upstairs was through the two rooms. Had to go outside at night and come downstairs to use the bathroom to avoid disturbing individual in the other bedroom.

Check in was easy! The house was spacious and big for the 4 of us! We had a great time. Waking up to cows and the silence of the rural world is peaceful Breakfast was available for us the first morning! Definitely will stay again

Loved the gorgeous fields, cows, river and serenity it brought. + lots of windows but - not much sleep past 6am, so bring a sleeping mask. Water is sulfuric. If you run it for a bit, as host suggests in notes, it tastes fine. All of us felt the house smelled like eggs though. Candles helped. Two who took showers said it never really got hot. Also, it didn’t seem clear in photos that my adult son’s bedroom and mine would have no door between. I asked for 3 rooms and got them, but the room with the pillow saying “love you to the moon and back” is a walk through the room with the blue and pink quilt. So be sure you clarify separate bedrooms. It really is a beautiful place!

This house was very spacious with lots of indoor and outdoor areas. The gas grill and fire pit were not specifically mentioned on the listing but were pleasant surprises! A short drive to Shenandoah River Outfitters for river activities and and even shorter drive to a local spot to use the river on your own, too. A great find!

Lovely farmhouse with breathtaking views. Peaceful, relaxing stay in a charming abode made for a perfect weekend getaway.

My wife and two young children had a wonderful, peaceful, and relaxing stay. The old farm house has lots of character and tons of space relative to our DC row house. The views of the river are beautiful from the covered porches. The kids (5 and 8) never seemed to get bored playing in the small stream that flows down one side of the property. It provided hours of largely supervision-free entertainment for them. There is easy access to the river. Downtown Luray, the caverns, restaurants, grocery stores are all a short drive (~10 mins) away, but on the farm, you feel completely secluded from the outside world. It's just you and the cows. Sharon was incredibly responsive and very easy to work with. Our only hesitation about recommending this house is that it might make it more difficult for us to rent in the future.
