Mold smell was strong! Kitchen was dirty with roaches. Extra charge ($200) for bed linens and towels. Really!

Our visit was in mid-August.
The interior was "dated" but livable.
The place was "clean enough" for a beach house.
The combined kitchen/dining area is small, but still usable.
There is NO recycling in this neighborhood.
The AC unit is very good.
The ground floor bedroom was dampish and cold, wasn't comfortable for sleeping, and harmless bugs which freaked the kids.
The bathroom/shower room on ground floor is a step up from floor level which may be an issue for elderly. Also, that shower stall floor was slippery.
The two underneath parking spaces are great for keeping your vehicles out of the hot sun!
The washer and dryer are old equipment but work well.
The 30A/240V dryer outlet is accessible for charging an EV, but you will need a 25ft extension cable.
The neighborhood is quiet, and very few cars on the street.
The walk to the beach is conviently right down the same street, just two blocks, but crossing one busy road (Rt 12).
The Sutton Ave beach access parking lot was mostly empty, so it would be easy to drive and park instead of walk.
Don't bother renting bikes to be delivered, as there is no worthwhile places in the immediate vicinity to bike, and the "paths" along the major roadway are narrow. Ain't worth the risk.
Note to manager/owner:
A real safety concern is the lack of a contiguous handrail alongside the steps to the 1st floor. This is something that should be corrected! Relying on the balusters instead of a normal handrail cannot be up to code!

This beach house was a great location to the beach and fit by entire family comfortably i would return here every year

The property could have been cleaned better before our arrival and available on time. One of the twin mattresses in the downstairs room has red stains (blood?) On it. We did not understand why the attic door was held shut with a steak knife (??). Finally, it seems very strange to have the people sleeping in downstairs room only having access to the main house via the outdoor stairwell. There really should be an interior stairwell connecting upper to lower levels. Our family felt very separated like they had to come visit us just to get breakfast every morning.

Our OBX Vacation
The house was just the right size for the 9 of us. The 2 teenagers had their own room away from the rest of us downstairs. The beach was a short distance away and the beach access was at the end of our street which made it easy with the younger children! Some of the beds were not the most comfortable I have ever slept in but the sofa was!!

Great location
First time to OBX and this house was great for our family, clean, convenient to so many things. Price was excellent for the location, definitely would stay there again!
