Good facilities and nice people

Had difficulties with dish washer and oven at first but solved them in a couple of days. Also it had been possible to ask the hosts.

The pool and the deck were really good. The moveable settee on the deck was lovely and comfortable + the sun shade over the deck area was great. We enjoyed using the table on the deck in the evenings for eating supper at. The layout of the villa was ideal and the rooms well proportioned + the colour schemes we really liked. We had a lot of fun sitting on the deck each day watching people attempting to drive up the path to the top of the hill.

We had a rather bad start to the stay because the water pressure in the villa was atrocious! We ended up having the maintenance man (Charlie) round twice, plus his electricians once. The first time he turned up the water pressure had returned, but only for the duration he was in the villa as the water completely stopped after he'd left! Second time he turned up (2 hours later), we were able to demonstrate the water pressure problem successfully. We continued to have problems with the water until the end of the first day but after that, the water presssure was fine. The villa wasn't up to my standards of cleanliness (but we stayed in another villa in 2020 that had similar problems) and could do with someone visiting mid summer and making sure fixtures and fittings are tightened up (case in point the ensuite downstairs where the towel hooks were drooping). Someone had swept the kitchen dirt into a pile behind the bin. There were hardly any wine glasses and no small juice glasses. Given the villa costs ~ £275 per night, it's a little bit cheeky to ask guests to pay for toilet roll, bin bags, soap in bathrooms and cleaning supplies. The dishwasher is unbalanced and tips forward in its space, giving you a bit of a shock! It's not a good dishwasher either! There's also no draining rack if you did want to wash up by hand (which you will probably need to do after empyting the dishwasher!). We found the iron but where's the ironing board? The garden could do with some plants. The washing machine needs to be replaced - suspect it's suffered from the lack of water pressure. Occasionally you'll get it to work but 90% of the time not. Someone's helpfully labelled the fuseboard but the light switches could do with the same treatment - never seen so many light switches :D Anyways!
