We had a wonderful trip. The house is beautiful, clean and comfortable. We spent rainy days playing board games at the dining room table and sunny days at the beach. The beach access below the house was too muddy to use so we took the main road. The walk was a short 15 minutes. While taking this route, we also enjoyed walking to tide pools as well as The Devil’s Punchbowl. The house is perfectly comfortable. I would recommend bringing foil, baggies, and/or Tupperware if planning to eat meals at the house. Otherwise the kitchen is very well equipped! I would also note that the coffee maker is a Keurig. This house is an absolute treasure. We would love to return again and again.

Nice house with excellent view. Need to improve and update furnishings such as couch and chairs in living room and twin beds. Couch was stained and dirty with a lot of dog hair. We put a blanket over the couch. One of the twin beds had a very hard mattress and was very noisy when turning over. Bought a foam pad to put on mattress and when we removed bedding sheets mattress was very stained snd dirty. Pretty gross. The adult sleeping in that bed went and slept on couch due to noisy bedframe. Only two of the recliners in living room were comfortable. Other ones not comfy. Again, nice house but need to invest in better quality furniture. Also, there were no coffee filters for coffee pot. When you spend several hundred dollars per night should have basic kitchen items stocked and comfortable furnishings.

Sitting out on the deck if there was nice weather or even inside in comfortable chairs with a fire going, this house had the best views out of any place we've stayed in the area, by far. The house was comfortable for the most part, although the bed in the master suite seems to be an outdated sleep number, that was not at all pleasant. Maintenance was always helpful, replacing batteries for a smoke detector that started going off at 4 AM, as well as switching the batteries for the bed's remote so we could attempt to make it more comfortable...unfortunately not. It didn't seem like the place was very well vacuumed before we arrived either, since we kept finding bits and pieces of debris...any time we called property management they were nice, but not entirely helpful. Especially when we called asking for more trash bags and toilet paper after being there for 2 weeks already...we were denied fresh amenities, but for a short stay they supply you with enough. Overall the location of this house made up for any issues we had.

This is an adorable beach house. The view was hypnotic from the living room and deck. We were worried we wouldn't leave and head to the beach it was so cozy and relaxing. Getting up in the morning with that view and a cup of coffee was just what we needed. Also they have a great property manager!

The bad: beds are not good. The upstairs bed was hard as a rock and apparently has some kind of air powered mattress adjuster but it was broken. Bed downstairs was way too soft. I am generally someone who does not mind these things but those beds were bad. I had to sleep on the kids' single bed. Water is not hot for long. Clothes dryer does not work on two of the three settings. Driveway abuts a very steep cliff requiring an 8-point turn around for my Ford F-150.

The ugly: there was no binder / information for the home. It took the whole family about 30 minutes to figure out how to play a DVD and we are not stupid people (DVD inputted through 'PC' setting). Also, we did not know how to get to the beach and had to ask a neighbor (go down Gladys past all the "no trespassing" signs).

We arrived to find that the home had not been cleaned since it was last used. Toilets had brown streaks and toilet paper in them. Beds were disheveled. Surfaces were dirty. This would be bad enough on any normal day, but mid-pandemic it was appalling. We had been promised that due to the pandemic everything was being *more intensely* cleaned and sanitized. That couldn't have been further from the truth. And we weren't notified before arrival. We walked into a dirty home. We ended up cleaning and sanitizing the house ourselves because we had nowhere else to go. Management did return our cleaning deposit and one night's rental fee. All that said, the view from this home was wonderful and the deck was a delight. The community is quiet and secluded.

We stayed for 4 nights with just our immediate family of five. The house offered everything needed including amazing views and easy access to the beach/area. Very comfortable I’d say the only things lacking were a couple of the beds were not the most comfortable and we would have loved to have a hot tub available after hiking and biking in the area. Would definitely rent here again 😃

1) the bathroom sink on the first floor has a MAJOR drainage problem. 2) Please check the dishwasher. The dial sticks in “wash”and does not continue its cycle, just repeats the wash cycle continually. 3) guest bedroom on the first floor with the queen bed: needs a screen on the window. Also needs a blackout curtain. Street light shines in bedroom all night long. Other than those complaints, the house filled our needs. Lovely location. We will return to the Otter Rock area.

We had a great time at the property. The views are the best part of the house. The property was clean and easy. It was tucked away on a small street and very quiet. A lovely walk through the neighborhood and down to the beach, which is a steep hidden trail in the end, but gives access to a quiet part of the beach. The house could use a better set up for cleaning off sand when you come back home from the beach. As far as we could tell, there was just a small spigot in the garden, so not easy to clean up the sand while balancing over the plants. Just to note, the master is the best spot in the house. The other two rooms are normal-size, clean and just fine, but nothing compared to the master suite. The kitchen could use some upgraded equipment - non-plastic cooking utensils (wooden or silicone), some non-stick skillets, some good knives. You need to bring all the spices and oils etc. The house was very clean when we got there, but we were extra-cautious and wiped down surfaces again. All in all, it was a great stay!

great neighborhood, fantastic view and a fun place to stay. The house needed some cleaning, dissing and vacuuming behind furniture, in corners, and in higher spots was lacking. Kitchen was lacking some basics, like starter coffee, basic spices, foil and plastic wrap, etc.

The views from this house are priceless. The deck is spacious and has many furniture. The master bedroom (with sleep number beds) also has a great view and is located a story above the living area. The reading nook is lovely. We also loved the zero gravity chair and are considering buying one for ourselves. The home is located in a private and secluded neighborhood. We got to meet a few neighbors and they are all super nice people. There is absolutely no through traffic as this is one of the last houses in that corner. There is a private beach access, but it took us a while to find it. It’s fairly rocky at the end and perhaps not accessible if one has not good balance or other walking restrictions. The beach is just wonderful; Otter Rock has some shops and a restaurant (take-out only during Covid-19). It’s a short trip to Newport as well as to Lincoln City. This home felt like a home away from home. (The kitchen sink was cleaned but apparently the local waters are rich in iron and left some stain marks in the porcelain). There was plenty of cookware, pots, pans etc. But no spices etc, so plan accordingly. All in all, we had a wonderful time at this house and will be back soon.

Excellent location and gorgeous beach view from spacious deck. Walking distance beach, perfect for children. Nice clean home with many utensils in kitchen to allow cooking . Would appreciate next time some additional spices ( mustard, vinegar and oil ) as well some extra detergent for dishwasher/ washing machine. We will definitely come again!
