We're regular New Orleans visitors, and this spot was fantastic. The area is great with a wide variety of shops, restaurants and bars.

Great location! Clean and comfortable. Did wish there was some sound deadening in the bedroom window that was street side, as night time was noisy and nothing much to to help reduce. Foam, thick curtain, other window tx would help. A little awkward with both bedrooms adjoining- glad friends were deep sleepers.

Great location on Magazine St with many shops and restaurants nearby. We did not find noise to be a problem. Walking distance to Commander’s Palace! The property was clean and comfortable.

Great house in perfect location - I walked daily for a cup of coffee at Starbucks ( across street ), French Truck Coffee ( their cold brew is so good), and the Vintage . Quick walk to the streetcar or a cheap Uber ride downtown . Go to Tracey’s one block away and Empanola further up magazine ! The rooms are spacious and beds were very comfy . Parking was a non-issue. Half the time I parked directly outside , the other time it was within a block . Picture needs to be updated as paint is blue on the trim , and as other reviewers have said , the curtains are sheer and the window at the front door needs a covering to shield from the sun in the AM and bright lights from cars at night . Wine glasses need to be updated/ have a set of 4 matching and there were only a few coffee mugs . Overall, it was great for a family ( the kids stayed in the interior bedroom And the sofa bed ), in a great location with responsive hosts

This home was located in a good area which was close to restaurants and shops - which we appreciated - but being right on Magazine St made it very noisy - during the day and into the night. The windows were single-paned and some didn't close all the way, and the street noise was always an issue. We were glad to be close to the streetcar, but we would not stay here again because of the noise.

ok but think parking on street should be up front in listing. Twice had to drive around through surrounding neighborhood to find a place

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was very clean and tidy. The rooms were pleasant and comfortable and there was a fully equipped kitchen and laundry room. Although parking is not possible at the house itself, there is plenty of parking available on nearby streets. We usually parked a half block away.I would happily stay here again.

My mother and I had the best time at this property. The house is beautiful, elegantly decorated yet still comfortable and welcoming. It was impeccably clean and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you’d need. It was the perfect location—the neighborhood has lots of restaurants and shops; a grocery store and the streetcar were within reasonable walking distance (about 10 minutes). It was so easy to get down to the French Quarter or anywhere else downtown—we used a mix of Uber and the streetcar. The hosts were great about communicating with us and so accommodating. Some reviewers have mentioned they thought it was noisy—we had no issues—it was normal street noise in a city. Overall, it was the perfect spot—staying in comfort with easy access to any other location in the city. We would happily stay again any time we come back!

Right on Magazine Street, with eateries, coffee shops and interesting browsing shops in easy walking distance. Also nearby was a grocery store and a couple of drugstores -- so well located. Great kitchen, with lots of helpful amenities -- more coffee mugs would have been nice but it worked wth four. Cooler temps weren't a problem because the heater worked well. Comfortable. We were lucky to be with good friends and were able to cope with the bedroom layout. Magazine is constantly busy, so expect car and foot traffic that can sometimes be noisy. But we were there for friends and a return to a magic city and we got a healthy dose of both.

Friends and I stayed here for a wedding down the street. The house was in a perfect location for the Garden District and a short ride down to the French quarter. The house was comfortable and clean. Coming from a big city the street noise did not bother us but could be troubling for those who aren’t used to living in the city. Overall would stay again.

Excellent location. Great AC. Restaurants abundantly available. Beds above the norm. All in all, as good as it gets!

We had a fantastic stay. The location was perfect proximity to Garden District shopping, homes. The Ruby Slipper was less than a block away .. as was Starbucks. Met for a walking tour 6 blocks away at a great bakery.. The Morning Call where you could hop on the St Charles streetcar and get to the French Quarter in 15 minutes. Dinner two blocks down from the home at Joey Ks Restaurant and Bar was excellent. Beds and bathrooms were fine. Kitchen was well appointed. Nice outdoor patio. Safe location. The owner was quick to answer questions we had. Only two points to keep in mind…it’s located on a street with some traffic and there is urban noise… not a problem for us however. Also, to get to the second bedroom you must walk thru the other bedroom. Also not a problem for us as we were with family members. … but some things folks should know. Overall we loved staying in the historic home with beautiful wood floors and high ceilings. We would definitely stay here again.

Brought my dad on a trip to visit the WWII museum. We had a group of 4 adults and the house was a perfect location for visiting the museum and exploring the city. Overall we had a fantastic visit and would recommend the house for couples or families wanting to visit the city. First up the positives. We loved being on Magazine street with so many choices of places to eat( we tried Ruby Slipper, The Vintage for breakfast and Joey K’s and The Rum House for dinner. All which were great!). For us you can’t beat the location!! The house was very quaint and the beds were comfortable and the house was clean. Parking was always available and loved the side patio( even though it was so cold on our visit we couldn’t use it). Also the check in and communication through your trip was great!! Now the negatives. We knew based on prior reviews that there was a noise issue and that the bedrooms were shotgun style. Yes, you have to walk through one bedroom to get to the other but for us wasn’t a big deal since we were family. If it is couples it may be a bigger deal( also just a note one full bathroom is downstairs). Now the noise issue. It is not that the street is that noisy( at least during our visit) it is more that the house is older and the windows are thinner and less insulated. It would literally sound like someone was in the house when they were walking by having a conversation. Also just a note we did spend a lot of time outside of the house sightseeing but at night with 4 adults the living area/ furniture was not the best for relaxing.

Our son lives in the area and we didn’t just want to stay in a hotel. This large 2BR house gave us lots of space and comfort during our stay. Just realize property sits on a Main Street so there is urban noise from the street. Great alternative to a hotel.

House was awesome. Our best NOLA rental. Beds comfy, super clean, plenty of towels, toiletries, kitchen amenities. Street noise was a bit loud but we Would definitely stay here again.

We loved the place. It had all we needed and was a short walk to almost anything that you need. If you want to stay in a period home right in the middle of the Irish Channel, this would be a great place to book. Keep in mind it is on Magazine Street and next to and across from a business so there is a lot of noise. If you need it quiet, probably not the ideal place for you. Also, the place is old so some of the doors don't close entirely and not all the windows have coverings so that was a challenge. Overall though, the place was great. We recommend.

Cute shotgun style home on busy street. Across the street from Starbucks and a gas station. Located in the Garden District, you can take fabulous walks. However the street is very noisy at night/day and the property does not have black out curtains. It is extremely sunny in the mornings. No sleeping in here🙃. The bathrooms and kitchen awesome. The showers are hot within seconds and the water pressure very good.

From the very beginning the communication was fantastic. The house was in a good location and very clean. The beds were very comfortable. Our favorite thing to do was sit on the front porch any time of day- or night! There as also a nice area to sit in the back. The only word of caution is for the street noise. Magazine is a great street with lots of shopping, restaurants and bars within walking distance. But the car noise was loud at times. I would stay here again!

Nice historic property in the Garden district. Very clean and generally comfortable. The pictures match the property exactly and the kitchen was well appointed and had enough kitchen tools and even some supplies like coffee and creamer. A few clarifications would have helped us so here goes. There is no on-site parking but we never had a problem finding a spot in front or across the street and we drive an extra-long bed crew cab truck!! Beds: the linens were fine but we really needed a king bed in one room but both were queens. I think a king might fit in front room. There is a sofa bed but we did not open it. Our bed moved quite a bit when the other person turned over so I didn’t sleep well. Both bedrooms are upstairs and you walk through one to get to the other which they did tell us - very typical with this style historic house. One of the bathrooms is downstairs. Once we found our ‘places’ we were fine. Living room could use one more comfy chair but was well appointed otherwise. Would love a second rocker on front porch rather than bench since people watching was so fun. We really loved the ambiance and felt like we were ‘in the scene’. I would stay again even as is but particularly would be a favorite with a comfy king bed addition.
