We absolutely LOVED this West Bay Cottage and the peaceful little town of Grand Marais! Our main purpose for our stay was to hunt for agate rocks and Yooperlites as well as see waterfalls and other scenic areas in Munising. The location of this comfy house was PERFECT for just that! We arrived at the house with a personal welcome note as well as a few sweet gifts! The house had everything we needed and the sleeping arrangements were VERY comfortable! And the view from the back deck was absolutely breathtaking! The hostess was SUPER nice, VERY pleasant to talk to, and accommodated our needs! We also loved the quiet town and all of the little quaint shops and restaurants they had there! We would DEFINITELY recommend this cottage to stay at! I know that we will again in the near future!

We had such a great weekend at the house! Super clean and well thought out spaces. The access to the beach and water, despite the cold, was key to our enjoyment. Everything was fabulous, and a warm welcome from our Host was a special treat.

What a perfect retreat on Lake Superior. Quiet, beautiful and wonderful place to stay at the end of a busy day in Pictured Rocks park. My daughter loved the beach, like it was her "own campfire." Very homy, wonderful touches, loved the art. Would come back. Thank you!

Lovely place and has a fully-stocked kitchen with almost every small gadget that you could possibly need. Close enough to walk into the cute town of Grand Marais and nice beach. Would definitely stay again!

We had a fantastic time at Bill and Robins beautiful and cozy home on the bay. Spectacular view and extremely short walk into town. Our stay was short, but could see staying for a week or longer to enjoy all the water toys (kayaks, paddle boards, etc) they provided in their garage & outdoor fire pit, hammock, etc. Our journey there was to hike Picture Walks trails which were breathtaking and easy to get to. This property has everything you could possibly need or want for the perfect “up north” getaway. Robin and Bill have thought of everything! The views from the deck are outstanding, and it’s close enough to walk to town. Kitchen is stocked with every gadget you need for making meals. Cute cozy fireplace that really puts out the heat, and books, games, even binoculars for animal watching! We couldn’t have asked for a better first-time VRBO. Robin has set the bar high!

Just fabulous!! Northern Lights, rock hunting, waterfalls, lighthouses, dunes, beaches, & breathtaking views everywhere you look! What more could you hope for!! Robin’s hospitality was awesome & the locals were so friendly!!

Robin was great. The cottage was well stocked, clean, and perfect for our little family trip. Even in November, a walk on the beach and to town in the morning was lovely. Hope to stay here every visit to Grand Marais in the future!

My husband and I enjoyed four nights in this beautiful cabin. We had rotten weather so I’m really thankful that we chose such a nice place to hunker down in. Everything was exactly as described and Robin was a great host. We would definitely book this place again!

This place was amazing ! It is centrally located to all the different hikes. It is right on the water. took morning walks on the beach very calming. The place was beautiful, everything you need. if you forgot something no worries Robin had it there for your use. I definitely will return .

Mother daughter vacation. We loved every thing about it. It was a very cozy place for us. The beds were comfortable. Robin is a great host and helped steer us to fun things. The kitchen was well equipped and I do recommend grocery shopping before you reach Grand Marias. Manistique has jacks fresh market, it’s great. Hit the red lighthouse while there. Minising IGA is ok. But locally not a lot. We loved the constant breeze, drinking wine at sunset by the fire pit. The locals are amazing. Go to Minising and do a boat cruise of pictured rocks and eat blueberry pizza at East Channel brewery (pizza 3-9 only). We can’t wait to return. Thanks for a great memory.

Sweet property and owner was wonderful

It's in a perfect location--centrally located but isolated. It's a very nice home that is extremely well-equipped. With the setting and the beach, you could have a vacation just staying at the house!

Our family of five had a beautiful vacation here on the West Bay of Grand Marais. The house had everything we needed -- Robin thought of it all! It was walking distance to town, where we grabbed coffee from the VW Coffee Wagon, great ice cream every night, and other items we needed. The kids could play on the sand (great sand for building castles!) while we drank coffee on the porch. Beautiful backdrop for a nightly fire in the outdoor fire pit. Water in the bay was very calm and warm for swimming but agate beach close by for rock hunting. Really enjoyed taking the kayaks and stand up paddle boards around the bay on quiet mornings. Enjoyed visiting Au Sable Light station and picnicked afterwards at the beach where the river meets Lake Superior, Sable Falls was great -- another fun spot where the river meets Lake Superior, Log Slide a must--definltey run down, take a swim and climb back up! Lot's of beauty in the area. The kids spent hours swimming and rock hunting at Agate Beach, the public beach in town. Thanks Robin for a wonderful vacation!

The property was amazing. Clean and convenient. Great location. First time in the area and will never forget.

The property manager, Robin, was amazing. Always a call away for information that always helped with our stay and exploring ideas. She has a spotless home. All the conveniences you need. I would check with her before you load up. There was lots of spices, oils, pots, pans, foil, baggies, paper towels, toilet paper, kleenex to use. Altho, closest BIG shopping is about hour or more away. Local store has plenty of day to day groceries if you need. The location was perfect. Can walk up to have breakfast or shop at the gift stores. Two bars, both with a decent menu. Pizza at Superior Brewery was surprisingly delicious. The location for visiting Pictured rocks, lighthouses, lake views, golf and fishing/boat tours, hiking and more were all within an hour or closer. Everyone is so friendly and we loved everything about Robin's place. Always a friendly visit from the local dog walkers along the beach and we were lucky enough to have an eagle land in her tree. Wish I could post pics. The ONLY thing I would suggest is having all queen beds and not full size. But that was soooooo minor. Loved every minute!!!! P.S. Rainbow charters out of Grand Marias was great. Nice boat ride!!

The property was even prettier in person. The town is so cute and friendly. The welcome gifts were so nice. The house had everything we needed. There were nice little thoughtful touches everywhere. The house was decorated perfectly. The only draw back to this house is the lack of A/C unit in the upstairs bedrooms. The 2 upper rooms are in the attic area of the home and stay about 10 degrees hotter than the temperature outside. Thankfully there were fans provided. My husband and I used a few fans and was able to easily get comfortable. We keep our home cooler than most people do year round so we just were not use to the heat. If you have anyone in your party sensitive to the heat I suggest they take the 1st floor bedroom which stayed much cooler. We loved this home and area and would definitely come back again.

This cabin was absolutely perfect inside and out. Charming welcome gift and fresh flowers when we arrived. Every part of the cabin was well appointed. The kitchen had anything you would need. There is a coffee pot. You can grind your own grounds. Nice cookware and utensils. The beds were comfy and there were extra blankets for sitting around the beautifully decorated living room. There are books about the area, puzzles and games. One of my favorite features was the beautiful arts and crafts from local artisans that covered cabin. It really added to the beauty and peacefulness of the environment.
