It was a nice stay and if your comfortable to live very close together with the owner of the B&B it was totally fine to stay there. There was lots of stuff available for breakfast and to cool wich was nice.

The owner withdrew the confirmation of our booking with less than 24 h notice despite the fact that he had confirmed it a week prior to that date and we had paid the full amount for the 3 day stay. He then failed to confirm with booking.com that we were due a refund despite our repeated requests that he should do this. We eventually got our money back from Booking.com after they acknowledged that the owner had withdrawn the offer for accommodation after confirmation that it was available.

The bedroom, though small, was comfortable. The Wifi was the best of all the places we stayed in our weeks in New Zealand. Most of the facilities were clean with one notable exception. The price would have been of more value had we gotten the room we reserved.

We were informed, just hours before our arrival, that someone staying in the separate room (with it's own bathroom) had renewed their stay for a MONTH and we were "bumped" to a room in the main house. Doors and windows to the outside were open with heavy duty wires running through all about - and it was quite chilly outside. For "the breakfast", we were told to find what we could in the cupboards - but, clearly there were other people living there and we had no idea what was "theirs" versus what was "public". Much of the confusion could be as a result of the proprietor having been sick and we didn't see him until just before we left in the morning. While most of the place was clean, in the bathroom, there were dirty towels on the floor and we were not about to use the shower in its condition. For a shared bathroom, there were far too many bottles of "other people's stuff" to know what we should have used, as toiletries were advertised as included. In addition, we still paid the same price for the smaller room with the shared bathroom compared to the separate room we'd booked.

Piss poor hosts. They canceled my booking in favour of a longer term stay at short notice and no other accommodation available in Christchurch so had to stay in other area 100 km south which inconvenienced me no end

My booking got cancelled on the day of check-in by text because of some construction. Something that was easily to predict by the owner, but he decided to wait untill the last moment to inform me of that. My messages to cancel the booking and get a refund are being ignored till this day. Worst service I've encountered in NZ so far.

Comfortable bedroom, enough space for two, has everything I need.

The host was warm and welcoming and we had nice chats about the city and life in general. About 30 min walk to city centre which was fine for us. Just along the road to the left when you leave the property. There is another way to walk but felt less save.

There was some noise from nearby road construction work in the evening and from builder next door in the morning, but they might have finished by now.

The BNB cancelled in the afternoon of arrival. I had been driving so only opened up my email on arrival, to show the booking

The yard was a mess knee high weeds . Didn't go inside. The flat at back had junk on the deck. This is terrible accommodation. It should not be on your books as it sets a bad example. It had a vibe of a tinnie house

The advertised images were looking great. Unfortunately we couldn't check out if there even IS anything that is great.

The owner cancelled on us a few hours before our check in messaging us that we couldn't stay there because another person wanted to stay two more days. Since then the owner didn't reply to us anymore and we didn't receive our money back. Now we have read that we aren't the first with this problem. And I bet we won't be the last, so better don't book there!

They cancelled my booking about 24 hours before I was due to go in saying that a private guest wanted to stay one more .night. I have still not received a refund one week later! I am somewhat less than impressed!!

We had a wonderful stay here! The host was very nice and friendly. Our room was comfortable, we slept really well. A generous complimentary breakfast too! We really enjoyed our stay here, Thankyou :)

Absolutely nothing

Don't be fooled by this conman, took our money then double booked the 1st night. Checked in for the 2nd night, when we got back, there were another couple in our bed!! He had removed our belongings and put them in his smoke filled room. Have been trying to get our money back for 4 weeks now. Place is filthy dirty, smells of cigarette smoke, and totally should be avoided at all costs. Also booking.com did not help to get our money back, seriously considering if I will ever book thru them again
