Good communucations prior to arrival and absolutely no issues with our reservation. My only recommendation would be to find a better way to keep salt due to the significant humidity.

We absolutely loved staying at Liko Lehua Cottage. Such a wonderful location in the "jungle" with so much privacy. The cottage was clean and met all our needs. If we ever visit the Big Island again we will definitely stay here again. We have already recommend this place to others.

We enjoy this home for several reasons. It’s clean, management is helpful when needed, the fire place is a plus and it’s close to family that live on the island!

We LOVED our stay! This home was beautiful inside and out and was so close to Volcanoes NP that it was the perfect location for us to both relax and explore at the same time. So grateful we found it!

All aspects positive. Easy proximity to the national park. Very well equipped kitchen. Comfortable bedrooms. Bonus having a clothes dryer since it rained for our entire stay.

Beautiful well appointed home. Quiet and peaceful.

Location was really great. The house had everything u could need-it was cold when we arrived but gas fireplace and space heaters warmed it right up.

What a lovely and comfortable cottage! Good floor plan, with plenty of room. As the nights were cool, we appreciated the flannel sheets. Did not use the heaters, but nice to have the option. We cooked breakfasts and some dinners— kitchen was well-appointed. Washer and dryer came in handy too. There were a few hiccups with a smoke detector that would go off during cooking (I didn’t burn anything, lol). We learned to just shut the door to that room. TV was a steep learning curve—a few hints written down might be nice. The salt grinder didn’t work. Luckily we had our own salt, but someone else might not. Lastly, there was conflicting info about garbage. One sheet said we had to get rid of it ourselves at the Transfer station (!), and the other said put it in the outside garbage/recycling cans (which were full and overflowing). These were all minor blips—I’m sure we could have reached out to the management, but honestly we were too busy having fun in the Park and in the area. You’ll have a great base camp if you stay here!

We spent three nights at this cottage in Volcano and found it to be delightful and would certainly stay here again. The location was great as it was only a few minutes from the entrance to Volcanoes National Park. The cottage was spotless when we arrived and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals there. The two bedrooms are very spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Even though there was only 1 bathroom for the three of us, it worked well and everyone enjoyed having a walk-in shower. At night it was enjoyable watching a movie on the big TV in front of the gas fireplace. Overall, it was a very enjoyable place to stay and recommend it to other travellers.

Love the toys and flannel sheets! Great kitchen and bathroom. Fantastic location to national park. Local restaurants were lovely! So helpful to do laundry. Very clean.

We have never been to Hawai’i and wanted to stay by a friends house. The place was well equipped with everything we needed. House was very nice and clean. You are by a National park and a black sand beach.

Very comfortable two bedroom bungalow. The king beds are dreamy. The host provided all sorts of supplies from laundry detergent to coffee creamer. They had a bunch of toys that kept our 6yo daughter entertained. They have all sorts of baby gear for younger families. Being right next to the park, store, restaurants, and post office was super convenient. Note: The Lava Rock Cafe has better food than the hotel inside the park. Unfortunately, the Thai place was closed while we were there. The property is about 40 minutes from the Punaluʻu black sand beach where we spent an afternoon wave hopping. Volcano can get chili at night. We used the gas fireplace every morning. Cozy! Also, if you get a chance, check out Kau coffee plantation. I recommend this property.

This is a wonderful cottage nestled in the fern forest. It was well equipped, quiet and convenient for Volcano National Park and the south-east coast of Hawaii. The birds, flowers and trees were delightful and it rained almost every day. Note: There are not a lot of grocery stores or restaurants in Volcano so plan on bringing food in. We would definitely stay here again if we come to Hawaii again!

The kitchen is well equipped and we really appreciated the warm gas fireplace on cool nights. We loved being just a few minutes away from Volcanoes National Park. There are just a few places to eat and a small, interesting local grocery near Volcanoes NP so if you plan on preparing your own meals you might want to buy groceries before you come. If you are taking the Southern route from Kona airport, I would suggest shopping at Costco and/or the KTA Super Store-Keauhou just south of Kailua-Kona or in Hilo at the KTA Super Store-Puainako. These KTA stores usually have nice selections of meats and veggies.

I give less stars in specific categories due to the listing not mentioning the provision of baby gear (we brought everything). It would have been nice to know that a pack n play, high chair, and toys were available. Other then that it was perfect.

The best part was hearing the beautiful rainforest sounds every time we stepped into the covered patio :)

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this cabin in the rain forest. For us it was the perfect place to call home being only a few minutes from Volcano National Park, 45 minutes to Hilo, 45 minutes to the Pahoa area, and 45 minutes to the Naalehu area. The cabin is cozy and surrounded by Hapuu ferns. Everything, from the kitchen, bedding, to furnishings is first class. The fireplace warms the cabin up very quickly and the small ones in the bedrooms does also, but with the warm bedding we did not need to turn it on often. The cabin is lovely and will definitely stay here again if available.
