The place was good! It was very clean and the pictures measured up to what was expected. The communication with the host was good and she was quick to respond to any questions or concerns. The one thing we didn't expect was the fact that there was someone staying in the garage apartment, that I guess had been recently renovated. It wasn't mentioned in the description and I was under the impression that we would have the run of the whole house. It was just unexpected. They didn't take away from the experience and were barely noticed during the stay.

We had a nice stay and the house met our needs for family of 8. A couple things future guests may want to know- no dishwasher, little shampoo (what was there appears to have been left by previous guests), no soap, limited towels (be sure to buy laundry detergent to clean towels), basic cooking/baking essentials were limited example- no baking sheet, only small pots, and needed a regular size frying pan. The beds did not have top sheets however we were able to locate a few extra in closets. The lake, playground, and pool were very nice! Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

We loved this house. The VRBO site was having issues when we tried to book, the owner was very helpful and patient and worked with VRBO and us to get us booked. The house is close to Black Point and Homeatead Marina. The neighborhood pond has great peacock bass fishing. There's a nice pool, a walking track, a playground. The neighbors were all super nice and were inviting us to cookouts. There is neighborhood security that patrols but honestly I don't even think it is needed. It's a very nice neighborhood.

I'm a first timer in a rental property when traveling, always hotels. The communication with Mae and the property overall was great. We asked for late departure and it was declined due to the next renters arriving at 4 pm. On our last day (morning), we are getting up kinda late from the weekend and trying to pack and have breakfast because we needed to vacant the property at 10 am (sharp). At the last minute we couldn't find our car keys, we looked for over 30 mins. We told Mae about our lost keys and she literally told us "to get out of the house", I responded that I couldn't leave the property without my keys and put my family on the street. Mae several times mentioned that her cleaning crew (just one lady) was outside waiting to clean the house at 10 am, but the cleaning lady arrived at 10:30 am (not 10 am), finally the cleaning lady came inside the house, she told us that Mae told her to kick us out, we told her about our keys and the cleaning lady went directly to the dyer and found them, she knew exactly where to look in less than 2 mins. seems that we were not the only ones this has happened. Once we were given the keys, the cleaning lady kicked us out, changed the code and locked the door, we had to go back in for some left over groceries and the cleaning lady didn't open or responded. The last morning was a HELL experience with Mae and her cleaning lady "cleaning crew". They need to be more understanding to situations and to their guests. A word of advice to Mae and cleaning lady, US guest staying at your rental properties are the ones that pay your commission check, please be nice to your renters.....Won't be staying at your rental properties listed by MAE in the future and will NOT recommend to friends on renting from MAE....

It is a nice house with lots of potential. There’s a paved trail around the lake that was nice for walking the grandson. Unfortunately the pool and playground were closed.

The kitchen was lacking essentials, no measuring cups, no baking pan or sheets, no ice tray or ice maker wasn’t hooked up so no cold water, no serving or mixing bowls, no dish soap, dish towels in dirty pile under sink, 1 garbage bag, pack and play is broken and very stained, no toilet paper or paper towels Owner wasn’t forthcoming in how I would enter, didn’t receive door code until I was standing on the stoop ringing the doorbell. This alone is cause for alarm. Wifi password wasn’t available had to text her twice til she gave it. Someone was living out of the garage, I would have like to known that before. Made me feel like she was hiding that fact. I’ve stayed in many VRBO homes and never had such a disappointment
