We had an awesome week at Jean’s place. The house was very clean and extremely well stocked. We had more blankets and pillows then we could use - a good thing! The kitchen has a surplus of silverware, cooking utensils and just about everything else you’d ever need. Absolutely loved the reverse osmosis water filtration system and the awesome Sony TV with killer sound system. We watched a lot of family movies while we were there and when not, had music playing constantly. Jean is very responsive if you have any questions or issues (we had zero issues). The only recommendation I would make is the living room furniture could use some updating, otherwise I have nothing but praise for her house.

This property was great for a big family vacation. There was plenty of space and lots of bathrooms. Everyone enjoyed playing games at the big table. We even had a chance to see a few deer on the patio. Close enough for us to go river rafting, alpine sliding, jeep touring, sky stepping, biking the Animas trail, visiting Lake Nighthorse Wibit Aqua Park and many other things. We cooked many of our meals in the house’s kitchen. We enjoyed our stay.

Property was in a great place to get away . There were 8 of us and plenty of room to not be on top of each other . Well stocked and Jean our host checked in with us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed . Would definitely recommend and come back again

Jean was a great host and the property was amazing! Plenty of bedrooms and a spacious living area for my group. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware and basic supplies. We all had a blast skiing purgatory and the location was incredibly close to the mountain. This spot was perfect for our ski excursion and we would absolutely come back next time we are near Durango!

The house was great, lots of room to spread out! The furniture in the living room could use updating. This house is not suitable for people with front wheel drive ( even with chains) in the winter. We loved the snow and beautiful views but the steep driveway and snow packed roads made getting in and out difficult. We would have appreciated a heads up that we needed either all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive and a vehicle with high clearance prior to our cancellation date. We were not told we needed this until the owner let us know during our checkin emails. We loved the house but were limited in getting out to see and do activities due to the road and driveway situation.

This house was great for our extended family to get together and enjoy some time together in the Durango/Silverton area. We loved the quiet location surrounded by aspens and mountain views. We even got enjoy some wildlife you don't see every day. There were plenty of beds and enjoyed the large dining table where we could all sit down and eat dinner together. Little things like garage access, extra linens, and even a spare propane tank for the grill made the stay a little more comfortable. Jean was very responsive and would text periodically just to make sure everything was OK. The only thing that surprised us was the well water was a bit distasteful while we were there. We did end up buying water for drinking, but otherwise had no issues with it. We have always loved this part of Colorado and would stay here again.

The views of the mountain from the back porch were spectacular. Our family spent tons of time enjoying the mountain air from the back porch. The kitchen was the best stocked of any house we have ever rented. Thank you for thinking of everything. Jean was extremely attentive and available for any questions we had about the house. We loved how the house showed family history and the love that grew there. It truly made us feel welcome and safe. Jean even thought of Grammy and Grandpa's 50th Anniversary with the surprise gift and snacks. They were so enamored with the gift. If you are a winter visitor, the house is very close to drive to Purgatory Ski Resort. The summer drive to Durango was very easy. We also took a road trip to Silverton and Ouray. All very doable from the house location.

We had a great experience renting this house. The owners were very easy to work with and let us know right away if any issues. The beds all had down comforters which were so nice when so cold out. The kitchen had a lot of spices for cooking and the owners even supplied hand soap and toilet paper. The house is close to purgatory ski resort so perfect if you are going to ski. If coming from Texas be sure you have tire chains and that you know how to use them, you will need them if there is ice and snow but definitely worth it! We would definitely rent this house again!

House is beautiful...much nicer on the inside than on the outside pictures. Well furnished and spacious, with nice linens, a beautiful deck with great views. The owner was available and friendly. My only drawback was I would have liked a few supplies like kitchen counter cleaner and laundry detergent. Overall a great vacation and location.
