We loved the floor plan and layout. It was spacious and comfortable. But there are small things that would make the experience better. VRC only mandates that the property have enough toilet paper, paper towels, etc to “get you started.” For what you are paying per night I find this to be short sighted by the company. For example, we ran out of paper towels as they provide very few rolls. But the store at the resort closes at 4:00pm so there is no place to buy paper towels or TP when you run out in the evening after a long day on the slopes. You have to drive 30 minutes into Durango to buy essentials. This same complaint goes for bar soap; Kleenex, TP, etc. Secondly, this property has too many decorative pillows and there is no place to put them. In the primary suite we had tons of pillows piled on the floor against the door to the deck where they get soiled. We had no other place to put them. In the Junior primary suite there is no place to sit to put on or take off your shoes, etc. You either have to sit on the toilet or go into the living room to find a suitable chair. The bed is too tall to sit on for this purpose. Thirdly, the wall switches and timer for the gas fireplace is broken...and the property has a weird little electric box sitting on the floor in front of the fireplace to turn it on and off. If I were the owner I would arrange to have the wall switch and timer replaced. It is a safety issue as the box on the floor has no timer and nothing to ensure that the fireplace goes off after a specified amount of time. Finally, I would remove some of the old, decorative furniture near the entrance, in the hallway and next to the fireplace and replace it with benches and coat racks so there are more places for the guests to take off their ski boots and hang up their ski jackets. This unit holds a lot of people but their is insufficient space to house boots, jackets, gloves, helmets, etc. The decorative furniture serves no purpose and looks old and da

Very nice and spacious unit. Absolutely zero problems and check in/out was a breeze. My wish for our next stay there would be a BBQ grill please, otherwise this one hits the spot on everything you could want or need.

The location and amenities were perfect. On the slope and the hot tub, pool, and club were great. Everyone is nice and helpful. The condo was well laid out for our family of five, love all the bathrooms so everyone could get ready easily. The down side is that the dishwasher didn’t clean dishes well and/or the renter before us didn’t. Could use some bigger soup bowls.

Well-appointed, clean roomy unit in a great location for skiing. Only confusion is that the unit nor the location nor rental agency told us that we had access to the club there. We learned this by accident after a few days. Front desk was minimally helpful, so having a listing of amenities in the unit would have been helpful.

The unit is located on the 4th floor of the Lodge. Parking in underground garage was tight but convenient (Tahoe). Check in was easy and unit was clean and well appointed. We had a couple issues but overall it was a good stay. The issues were the bed in the primary BR and the other was noise from courtyard. When it snows, the cleaning can go all night depending on how much snow. There was constant beeping and clanking from clearing equipment. We will return to Purgatory but prob not to this unit. The bed was one of those foam mattresses and we felt like we sunk into it. Every single employee we interacted with was friendly and seemed to enjoy being there.

We highly recommend that the owner does a quality check on their cleaning services: bedding covers including shams are really dirty & stained! Some Dishes, pots & pans weRe put away dirty; ice maker filter needs to be changed —- lots of sediment in the melted ice. Keurig coffee maker not working.

This property was perfect for my of 5. The unit was beautiful and had everything we needed to make us feel at home. The location made day trips to Ouray, Durango, and Mesa Verde easy. We look forward to returning in the winter and skiing.

The condo was very large and comfortable. There were plenty of supplies and household supplies already in the condo. We only bought coffee, breakfast, and snacks for our stay. The view is of the plaza, which was pretty dead during our travel time. Once the lifts shut down at 4, the plaza follows suit in the next hour. With this condo, you get access to the pool with a water slide and hot tub right by the main lift. We also used the “club level” for dinner one night (good bar and menu) and pool/video games. I think I would have spent a lot of time in there if the weather hadn’t been so perfect. My only complaint (which wouldn’t keep me from booking again) is some early morning equipment noise: mostly beeping in reverse etc.

Ski Trip with Friends
We had a great time! Had a few problems with the condo- tv service in the living room, the fireplace wasn’t working , and the coffee pot broke. All issues were resolved for us during our stay! Would def come again!!

Amazing condo, location and skiing
We absolutely loved our time at the Purgatory resort. The convenience, views, location, layout, condo, etc… was all absolutely perfect! The property manager is extremely responsive and our stay was great. The condo has everything that you could need. Will definitely stay again!

Outstanding Rental!
This rental was truly fantastic. It was beautifully decorated, comfortable, spotless, and well stocked with everything that a family could need. There was clearly a great deal of thought put into the amenities and supplies, and we appreciated it so much. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful condo!
We enjoyed a wonderful Labor Day weekend in the condo. The home was beautiful, comfortable, and clean, and there was plenty of room for my husband and I, three teenage boys, and our 4 year old . There were fun activities at the resort to keep all of us entertained.

Fantastic stay
The condo is exactly as described, clean, plenty of towels, comfortable beds, lots of room. Pool and hot tub is great after long day of hiking. Very close to many outdoor activities and hikes. Complimentary coffee at the private club plus great restaurant. Only issue we had was check in, a little scare as the lodge did not have record of our reservation. This was remedied fairly quickly but still not a good start. Otherwise great rental, great resort!

The unit was very clean and very well stocked. Had plenty of room. On our end we should have planned meals better meaning more groceries. It would be nice to have a grocer closer than Durango, but wasn't a huge deal. Definitely looking forward to when we can stay again.

The check in person was not very helpful! He was annoyed by the questions I asked because I did not know where to park and unload. I asked of the available activities, he just pointed to the bulletin board. Did not bother to explain or provide any additional information.

Summer Vacation
We really enjoyed staying in this property. It was spacious, perfect for my husband, myself and our two teenage boys. Everyone had their own room and bathroom so there was no arguing the mornings we had to get up early for an excursion. The dining area was large and the unit had everything that we needed. Unfortunately, we stayed the week before everything really got going for summer activities at Purgatory, but we would absolutely stay here again. Great property!

Staff was incredibly rude and most things were closed. It was end of season but the Alpine coaster, all but one restaurant, most of the stores were closed. Hot tub was closed half the time and pool was freezing. Very disappointing stay at purgatory. Would not recommend this ski resort.

Comfortable, Clean, and Well Stocked
This was one of our favorite places to stay on the mountain. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed, plus nice knives and nice pans. The place was very clean. I highly recommend it.

A beautiful property which is ideal for ski in / ski out convenience. This is an extremely attractive and comfortable unit. The beds are extremely comfortable. The bathrooms are beautiful. The kitchen is very well stocked with every possible cooking amenity. Overall this is a beautiful property.

Ski In/Out Perfection
Loved this amazing location to ski in/out for our Christmas experience this year. It was a perfect fit for our family of 8. Three bedrooms (two rooms with bathrooms attached and one kids room with bathroom just across the hall) and a pullout bed fit our family of 5 adults and 3 kids perfectly! Thanks for having luxurious amenities: great bedding, lush towels, and a fully stocked kitchen! The locker for ski equipment and parking garage were great additions as well! We loved our stay and would not hesitate to come back.

Great property
Really comfortable and well stocked home. Not all of the facilities were open but we used everything that was. Nice location. Check in took a little longer than needed because the property manager hadn’t communicated with the resort but apart from that, everything else was great.

Very nice condo!
This is a great place to stay at purgatory. We loved having 3 bathrooms. There was plenty of room for everyone. We did have a hard time checking in b/c we arrived at 10pm and went to the address provided to us. It is a main office which was closed. I called the number provided but it said to call back during normal office hours 9am to 5pm. Panicked for a few minutes until we found the main check in...had to drive down the road and to the right. Could have just been my google.map that took me to the wrong spot not sure.

Everything was nice. Our 5 kiddos love the room, resort and all the things in the area we were able to do throughout the week. Definitely a great location for an active family that likes to be outdoors!
