The easiest place to stay! Check-in and Check-out were seamless. The location to the beach is truly a short 3 minute walk and the pool is even closer. The house does show some wear and tear but nothing significant. We would stay here again.

Sunny D was a great place to stay for a reasonably priced beach vacation. It is a short walk to the beach. Pool is a community pool and also a short walk. We would stay here again for sure. Areas that have room for improvement - the beach wagon needs new wheels or needs replaced. Could use an extra beach umbrella or two.

Me and my girls enjoyed the house for the weekend. We noticed that there was a drip in the shower and sand in some of the sheets but other than that, it was cleanly and we were able to check in early and set up for the other guests and we loved the location. The house was perfect and spacious for us all!

My family of 10 stayed at this property for our family vacation. I would rate this property a 3 due to the cleanliness and lack of amenities. The location was great, very close to the beach. There is a neighborhood pool, but it is very tiny. Most homes in the neighborhood have pools. The size was good, but the amenities were few. We did not have enough towels for our party of 10. There was some dirty linens on the beds. The sofa in the primary bedroom was gross. Brown stains and debris on the sofa and under cushion. Ceiling fans were dirty and had not been cleaned. The sofas on the main floor was also very dirty and had crumbs and debris that had not been cleaned up. All sofas in the home need cleaning. The primary bedroom mattress was very uncomfortable. We did not have a good nights sleep during our stay. There was not enough toilet paper and we had to buy toilet paper and hand soap on the first day. There was no hand soap in any of the bathrooms. The toilet paper in the home was not full rolls and did not have any supplies. The owner should consider the number and days that guests will be staying to ensure the basics amenities are adequate. There were beach chairs that came in handy, but there were no bikes or toys or games for teens. The wagon that could transport the chairs to the beach was broken and could not be used. This home does not offer a golf cart option. The owner acknowledged the cleanliness issues. I would not stay at this property again.

Big, lovely, well appointed, house two blocks from the beach with shopping and restaurants nearby. The layout was so cool and worked great for our family with the kids and grandkids in the main house and the grandparents in the carriage house which was perfect for grabbing a quiet nap or getting ready in our own private suite.

Speechless…what an amazing property. Arguably the best vacation rental I’ve stayed at. Absolutely perfect.
Had to leave our home due to Hurricane Ian and enjoy a few days elsewhere. Being a last minute reservation, I figured that all of the better homes were already booked, but I was wrong. Sunny D exceeded our expectations.
Large home that is tastefully decorated, updated, and is obviously well-cared for. Bathrooms all appear to be newly remodeled and without expense spared. Everything was found to be immaculate and clean.
Very close proximity to the beach and any store or type of restaurant we wanted meant no need to drive anywhere. Though, for the couple times where we ventured out and didn’t feel like walking, the bicycle’s were great to have. A bike ride down the beach taking in the views of the beach, sunset, and enjoying the fresh air made for a wonderful evening after stopping at a local restaurant for a delicious seafood dinner. Only time we drove was to and from the airport.

We were a family of 7 adults and 1 2 yr old, and there's a lot of room. It felt like it could easily fit double the amount of people comfortably. Parking in the driveway could fit 3 cars. Beach was walking distance. Grocery was a few minutes drive. Wifi was very fast. There were some kind of flies in the kitchen when we got there but they stayed there in that area and also they were gone after just 1 day. No big deal. The kitchen was fully furnished though the knives need some sharpening. The grill was tankless gas, but only had 1/3 burner working. Some lights and ceiling fans weren't working but there were enough lights to illuminate everything and the central A/C unit was powerful enough to cool down the entire house quickly. This house has a tankless water heater so running out of hot water wasn't an issue at all. The shower outside is a nice touch. Overall, will book this house again.

Just right!
We enjoyed our stay at Sunny D! The house was just the right size for our family of 8 with a couple of beds to spare. The walk to the beach is no more than 5 minutes, and the community pool was great. The neighborhood is quiet with lovely homes. The home comes with 6 beach chairs and 2 wagons to transport them. There’s no umbrella and renting one with 2 chairs is $50/day regardless of weather conditions. Consider bringing your own. We would stay at Sunny D again!

Exceeded Expectations
Our time in Destin exceeded all expectations and having a beautiful home like this was the main reason why. The owners shared their beautiful home with us and you can feel the love. There are plenty of beds to sleep in, places to read a good book, wonderful kitchen to cook in and all within a very short walk to the beach. Our family made memories here and are looking forward to coming back to make more. Everything one needs for a great vacation away. The owners are responsive and great to work with.

Easy walk to beach!
Very accommodating house with good sleeping space for everyone. There is a nice deck area between the house and the bedroom in the garage space that was great for pulling in a wagon or cart to wash off the sand as well as an outdoor shower. Best of all it was a short and easy walk to the beach.

Great Property!
Nice neighborhood, 5 minutes casual walk to the beach. Loved the rooms. Be aware of the driveway situation though......we had 1 big truck and 2 suvs and good thing we didn't bring another vehicle, wouldn't have fit in the driveway. The garage doesn't really fit anything.

Beautiful Home
The amount of space in this home was exactly what we were looking for. 3 families shared this listing and there was plenty of seating and beds to sleep in. There are several places to eat within walking distance as well as the beach. The home offers 2 wagons to assist with taking everything you need for a day at the beach. The owner was friendly and accessible to ensure a wonderful stay. This listing will remain on my list of places to return.

We had a small family gathering so we had rented two houses, this one and another one Right on the beach. so we didn’t spend a whole lot of time in this house,but the time that we were there, nothing was needed. This house comes with everything you’ll ever need to make the most out of your vacation. Very satisfied,thank you!

The house says it sleeps 14, so there should be appropriate parking. It is listed as a 5 bedroom, but technically it is only 4. Sunny at Sunny D
Great Location! The view of the golf from the top deck was very restricted as they built a house in the area that showed the view in the original photos that probably need updated to show current limited view but we didn’t spend much time up there due to it being so hot up there during the daytime hours. The carriage house bedroom is ideal and very roomy and private! The driveway parking was a bit of a problem. If the driveway entrance was as wide as the parking area it would have made it a lot easier so you don’t have to shuffle autos around to come and go. We rented a 6 person golf cart to get to the beach which helped a lot so we didn’t have to shuffle autos as often. The only other complaint was the loft sleeping area was impossible to keep cool as the cooling unit couldn’t keep up with the rising heat from lower floors, a higher btu window unit would work wonders up there! Was nice to have use of the garage for my motorcycle and golf cart storage overnight. All in all was a very pleasurable vacation home! Would consider staying again for sure! Maybe next time the parking will be less complicated and loft sleeping area as comfortable as rest of bedrooms...

Nice place, but not very clean
We did not report the bugs during our stay because we didn't want to have to deal with people and bug spray people while on vacation. But, while cooking one evening, my husband had a baby roach crawling on his shirt. There were several dead larger roaches located during our stay. The cleaning crew didn't do a good job sweeping up or cleaning over all. I would not necessarily avoid it, but I would wash all dishes and cookware before use and would also wash sheets before use or bring .y own next time.

Fun with family and friends
We had an amazing time creating memories with our children and family friends. This property was a great size for a group of people. We all had enough space to sleep and spread out. As well as enough space to gather and spend time and laugh together. It is a short walk to the beach which is appreciated when you are carrying lots of gear for all the kids. We would definitely stay here again!

The house was excellent, but we will not be going to Destin anymore. Navarre Beach from now on.
It was a wonderful home, enjoyed our stay there. Not a whiff of complaint about the house itself. Can't say the same for Destin. Parking is just a nightmare and we don't need that hassle on a vacation. Lived in the area for five years from 2009-2014 before moving back to Realville, so we've seen the evolution. We will be staying on Okaloosa Island or Navarre Beach from now on when we visit our sons still in the area.

Nice house, but needs a little TLC
We had a wonderful week at Sunny D! It's located close to the beach and in a nice clean community. The house itself was clean, but needs a little love. The wicker chairs in the living room were broken (the support bracing underneath the cushions was completely busted), there were broken wooden blinds in the living room, and there is an old washer (or dryer, not sure) sitting on the back porch. The kitchen cabinets had labels of where items should be stored (tupperware, glasses, etc), but nothing was in the right place. It was an adventure to prepare meals! We had children with us and the door knobs lock easily, but there was not a key available to get them unlocked! Lastly, the loft "bedroom" (twin bed with trundle) is TINY with only a small hanging bar and barely any room to have luggage up there. Just a few criticisms, but overall we enjoyed our time there!

great family vacation week in a very homey Sunny D!
loved Sunny D. A few little bumps upon arriving but the problems solved immediately! Plenty of room, enough linen and towels. It was conducive for our families with children ranging from 5 thru 23. The neighborhood was so clean and quiet for families. It was a very warm week but the house was adequately air conditioned. would I rent this house again? at the drop of a hat!!

SUNNY D WAS PERFECT!
This was our 4th Thanksgiving in Destin, it has become a holiday tradition for us. This was our first time staying at Sunny D, and what an awesome home - PERFECT for our Thanksgiving celebration! Plenty of seating for both eating and hanging out, very close to the beach (which we spent all 3 days down there, even at Thanksgiving - it was beautiful!) And it had everything we needed - from beach accessories, chairs, and toys to a fully stocked kitchen. LOVE the bedrooms - the beds were all good size, new, comfortable, and so nice with flat screen TVs in each bedroom. You can tell they have put money and effort to make this feel like a very comfortable, yet luxurious vacation home - hardwood floors, upgraded bathrooms, etc. I'd highly recommend it for anyone looking for an upscale beach home to rent!

Family Reunion
Sunny D fit our needs perfectly. Eleven of us, 3 generations (cousins and siblings) stayed here for a week!! Plenty of room for everyone, quick walk to the beautiful beach, we used the bikes often. House is clean and open. Met the property manager who just stopped by to make sure everything was OK. Five minutes or less to groceries and anything else you might need. I would definitely recommend Sunny D!! Thank you Kimbie!!

Beautiful House and Beach!
I booked this house for a 5 days girls' trip and it couldn't have been more perfect. The house was beautiful - just as described - the pictures don't do it justice. The bedroom attached to the garage was perfect for our "late sleepers". It is a short walk to the beautiful beach which we loved to sit on until after 5:00 pm because there was a wedding nearly every evening (one night there were 2!). It is a quiet, well kept neighborhood that was close to everything. The top deck was perfect for everyone to gather for a glass of wine before going out to dinner at night. Our first night there we walked to the Beach Walk restaurant that is part of the Henderson Park Inn and had dinner outside on the patio on the beach. The breeze off the water was perfect and the food/drinks were outstanding! You can even walk the beach back if you prefer because it is literally oceanfront. The bikes were great for excercise in the morning and leisurely cruises after dinner. We would all definitly recommend this to anyone looking for a great beach house at a nice beach. Thanks to the homeowners for sharing your house!

Sunny D stay
The Sunny D property was very nice. We have been coming to destin for 13 years and it was one of the best homes we have stayed in. The carriage house addition was great. This was my first time using VRBO, but Kimbie was very helpful and quick to reply if we had any concerns. The local property manager was also helpful, and called us just to make sure everything was ok upon our arrival. The house was as described including all the extras for enjoying the beach.

Beadles/Clyde trip
We had a great time at Sunny D! The owners are great and always answered any questions we had. The beach was about 2 blocks away and since we had a lot of kids with us and a lot of stuff, we had to drive. The garage was supplied with beach toys and 4 bikes. The house was very clean with plenty of room for us (we had 12 kids and 4 adults). The carriage house (attached to the garage) was the bomb! It was so great to be in private quarters. The stone shower was really pretty! The decor was very nice and the whole place was very homey. Love it! The only thing that was a little disappointing was the picture of the pool looked like it was really big and very close to the house. It was a small community pool and it was not behind the backyard like we thought. All in all, great place to stay and we had a wonderful visit! Highly recommended!
