Our stay was very enjoyable, our apartment was spacious and clean .The breakfast was lovely and the pool was very relaxing, tranquil and quiet. Tavira was about 10 minute drive from the property. Overall we would highly recommend Abacatus Farmhouse.

Beautiful breakfast on the terrace with home made jams, fresh orange juice and delicious scrambled eggs. The honesty bar is a lovely touch! The farmhouse is so peaceful and a beautiful place to switch off and relax! We used the bikes to get around and only 10mins into tavira!

Very friendly hosts, amazing breakfast, very peaceful garden with pool. Room has tea and coffee and reasonably priced wines. The room was spacious with plenty of cupboard space. The kitchen was equipped with everything you might need. Bikes are available. Tevira ans St Luzia are a short drive or bicycle ride away. Especially Tevira has loads of restaurants. Aldi and Lidl supermarkets are also a short drive/cycle/walk.

You could hear the neighbours (talking, TV, shower, flush). The room could do with some maintenance (e.g. unblock the drain).

Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet. Alles sehr liebevoll zusammengestellt und zubereitet. Wir konnten auf der Terrasse frühstücken mit Blick in den Garten ( Bambus/Bananenstauden). Sehr ruhig und erholsam. Mit Auto gut erreichbar, ohne Pkw eher schwierig. Die für den Empfang und Service zuständige Mitarbeiterin war sehr freundlich und kompetent. Gut geeignet als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge entlang der Küste und in das Hinterland. Auch Tavira und der Strand auf der Insel sind eine Reise wert.

The hotel and staff far exceeded our expectations. The rooms are big and beautiful, the breakfast was delicious, and the pool is a dream. It is so peaceful and quiet, day and night. Thank you to the staff for being so attentive. It happened to be my birthday the day we arrived, and the staff surprised me with Portuguese wine and birthday cake! We flew to Faro from the UK, and then rode the train from Faro to Tavira. It was a short walk, around 20 minutes, from Tavira station to the farmhouse. The farmhouse has complimentary bikes, which we rode into town each night for dinner. We only stayed for three nights, but will be back for more!

We enjoyed very much the stay. The smells of the garden and plants was so breathtaking. Also the breakfast was wonderfully done. The swimming pool area was clean and towels were provided everyday on the deck chairs. Fernando is a graciously and helpful host. We would be happy to come back again in the future.
